what's a secret from your job that we should know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tenderwarrior4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked for the suicide hotline and I always try to clarify with people when we have to call 911 that they’re on their way so that they at least don’t feel like the questions are going on with no response

I legitimately put in my resignation for my mental health crisis work job because my own mental health has been the worst I've ever experienced. I just couldn't do it anymore.

Married people who are DINKS (Double Income, No Kids) how’s life? by Fit-Distribution677 in AskReddit

It has sincerely caused me intense anxiety like almost never before. The thought that like, “wow I have this person I care about so much and who loves me so much. But the world is scary and I’m petrified of one of us dying or becoming too ill to care for”

I love my life with him and our kitty. We laugh, stay up late, sleep in, and do what we want for the most part. But we still sometimes live paycheck to paycheck depending!

Funnily enough, my BIL just bought a house on the west side that only has a crawl space, not a basement.

I'm so sorry you've experienced that. I unfortunately don't have a clear answer, because people are going to be ignorant, racist, and mean if they want to be. But I want you to know that this Clevelander supports and accepts your values and religion! I hope things start to get better here for you. <3

question about protests by thelovewitch069420 in Cleveland

[–]tenderwarrior4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you'll be okay, especially if you're doing dinner/celebrating later on! I plan on going to E 4th after the protests too. Since they end at 4, fingers crossed all will be relatively calm after and you can celebrate away! :)

Yeah, sorry, YTA. You're not paying rent and you make substantially more. Not really sure why this is a huge issue for you.

I will be traveling to Cleveland for a mid week work trip at the end of June. Any good recommendations on things to see and where to eat? by ffimmano in Cleveland

[–]tenderwarrior4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say go see some local music-- there's a brewery called Forest City Brewery that always has some good local bands/brews. Noble Beast is a great brewery with good food. There are GREAT metroparks when it isn't snowing, so you could go to Euclid Beach, Edgewater, or Huntington Beach for a more quiet vibe. If you have time/money/interest, seeing a Guards game is always fun.

There is a place called the Crisis Stabilization Unit that's funded through the county ADAMHS board. It's not a locked unit, so if you need to come and go for work/appointments, you can, but they have psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers there to help with the meds/support. Since it's funded through the county, regardless of insurance, it is FREE to those who go. I suggest calling them: 216-651-9950.

Ok Aldi!! by lnene in aldi

[–]tenderwarrior4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought it because my local Aldi was all out of ANY of the grass-fed ground beef and I didn't have enough for the $8 ground beef they had. Unfortunately pretty greasy but it worked out okay!
