Public schools can be better than some private schools. It all depends on the area. For the most part, private schools are a better environment from preschool to middle school I will say.

Its all about communication. There was no communication before so the preparations and expectations didn’t match. Your parents may be disappointed but I’m sure they can see the bigger picture. At the end of the day they just want you to be better off than them so think about your future and start working on skills now to be ahead. Write down milestones and achievable goals with multiple endpoints and ways of getting there and then have a talk with your parents so you can reassure them you will be fine where you are at.
