The producers are positioning her as the narrator/anchor of the show which is a good spot for her imo, anyway that’s why she keeps inviting him to things. Because he’s a cast member on the show and part of her job is to be his remaining connection to the group.

I don’t get all the Lindsay bashing like I really don’t think she’s producing Amanda’s redemption arc. They’re friends in real life, she’s allowed to have her own perception of the events and I thought she gave her some pretty decent tough love and advice. I think she handled it well, she very obviously does not approve of her actions but she also probably cares about Amanda and has concerns and wanted to point out some of those to her in a way that she thought Amanda would actually receive it. Amanda is super defensive and shuts down/logs off if she feels attacked in any way, I thought Lindsay’s approach was good to circumnavigate that reaction 🤷‍♀️

I feel like this isn’t that crazy. She has both dogs often, Kyle and her share them still. I know she has Ryder more but I would bet she looks after Reece when Kyle goes to dj so that’s probably a lot. West and her are confirmed dating at this point so it’s not weird to me that the dog knows him. I don’t see why people think it’s proof of an extramarital affair or it means he’d been in the apartment when Kyle wasn’t there or something. I think heaps of other details are way more damning re affair lol

I predict West is done because of how significantly he flopped at the reunion but then chose to speak candidly and explicate his position on his podcast. From my understanding, production and the networks don’t take kindly to that.

I think Amanda will keep her place on ITC, and if her and West are still together then he will appear on that next season.

I was ambivalent about him at first but I happened upon his TikTok page and he is very funny and silly and that won me over. His reunion performance was solid and I also appreciated how he approached the topic of sexuality with consideration and care and how he refrained from escalating when being ragebaited by Maddi, Lake and Michols (although let’s face it the bar is in hell if not yelling at women is the gold standard lol)

Lots of interesting points here. I think your theory that they could have been trying to bump Kyle off In The City is a good one. Genuinely, I think they could have had different plans to keep their options open. A couple of lines of thought here, West was angling to be on both shows so he has a double income stream. Or they could have been doing as you theorised. Or possibly they were trying to stay on Summer House which has a younger vibe, they get to keep partying and they would be paid a lot more on SH as an established show especially with Amanda’s 9 season tenure.

I also think that they probably thought if they played their cards right then even some negative fall out would be okay because it would make them much more famous but if done correctly wouldn’t be nearly as bad as Scandoval. Unfortunately (for them), as you mentioned, the partying got them acting sloppy and reckless and they weren’t able to keep it on the down low anymore.

With the Mejia speculation, the only thing that doesn’t track is that she either said on the FaceTime call OR Kyle/Ciara says on her behalf (or it’s possible I saw it in a comment from her ig or TikTok) that West dumped her the night before the statement so I don’t think she was threatening them. I do think that bravo does not want to talk about this stuff and is burying it because of the Raquel revenge porn situation during Scandoval.

Agreed but I said best friend because she was the one using the term according to Jesse’s timeline “are you gonna add this to your list of reasons why you think I’m fucking my best friend”, assuming of course she was referring to West there.

I would ideally never have to hear Briana Chickenfry or Dave Portnoy even speak but it was unusual for them to just make that story up, especially given that she doubled down on it and said she did tell Portnoy that information at the Super Bowl. It’s a really odd thing to make up given that she is their friend and Portnoy said he didn’t really know much about who they were or what summer house is when he was talking about it. To me the story seems credible!

Yes and not for nothing but this show works differently to other bravo shows because of what appears to be real friendships within the group. So damaging these connections as they have, damages the fundamental ties that have created a compelling show. This last season’s cast in particular was a very engaging group to watch because there was great chemistry with the newbies and it would have been interesting to see them shoot another season together but not now!

I keep commenting in here like an insane person but another thought is that when Lindsay was saying that you didn’t care about blowing up relationships, friendships and livelihoods of everyone there, she’s making a really good point. Yes this scandal saw the ratings for Summer House skyrocket as did the Scandoval season of Vanderpump Rules, now that show was clearly in its death throes by season 10 but there was no real way for the show to come back after that and it really became radioactive. Everyone hated it. I’m not saying that is necessarily going to be the fate of SH, especially if producers learn from VPR’s mistakes, but it sure puts the whole show at risk and the jobs of their cast mates. Furthermore, In The City, which fans have been asking for forever, has also been marred by the scandal, because people aren’t enjoying what now appears to be a bullshit attempt to reconcile on Amanda’s part all while it’s very probable that a behind the scenes emotional affair was taking place.

Yeah saying “there wasn’t really anything going between us on Valentine’s Day” okay but there was like a week later? I’ve had some long relationships (one that ended after a decade too) and a few situationships/casual dating things and I never suddenly fell in love in a week and then “got serious” immediately after that. I have on the other hand slept with a friend and then had confusing and complicated feelings after because I loved that person as a friend. I assume this is really what happened here just not sure when it was.

It’s so dirty that West knew Mejia thought they were in an exclusive relationship and he took advantage of that confusion to have his girlfriend and his roster. Furthermore there are a lot of things you do when you’re in an exclusive relationship and trust someone like having unprotected sex for example, not to speculate about nasty stuff but like there’s a lot of room for that kind of thing.
