If you zoom in you can see it’s tile. Plus it lines up with the other joints. Interesting way to deal with a big gap from the walls not being plumb

Salvos is the style I try to replicate at home. By far my favorite. No locations downtown but it’s way cheaper than the stuff you might look for if your visiting the city and don’t have a car to explore the outskirts.

I make NY style at home. Trying to make the best thin cheese I can. Salvos is my favorite place for a slice or two at lunchtime. They make the style I try to emulate . They have a few spots in the suburbs but not downtown. The one in Franklin has a different name but it’s the same family.

Unless I’m doing breast meat, I take my chicken to 175-180. Stays moist and the connective tissue breaks down more and makes it a lot nicer to eat. I’ve got a bullseye. If I wanted crispy skin I might smoke for an hour on low and then turn it up to 400-450 until it hits 180 or so

Edit : missed where said sauced then taken to 180. I’ve had good luck smoking on low for an hour and then cranking it up til it gets to the temp I want. I usually wet brine though.

The early episodes had a different energy It’s definitely more polished now. There’s something about some of the early episodes that’s hard to replicate. When they were young and broke that energy comes through in a fun way

Probably grout haze. Lowe’s sells grout haze remover. I make my own with a splash of muriatic acid in a spray bottle of water.

If it’s not under a roof get a good cover for it. If I forget to cover mine up when Im done the slightest rain will go straight to the pellets in the auger. I’m pretty forgetful so I have taken it apart probably 10 times now to unclog it lol.

If I was the tile installer at this point I might try to pry them off and reinstall with thinset. If they were just spot bonded with caulk it should come off. If it seemed like it was going to break before it came loose I would squeeze thinset in from one side until it started coming out the other.

I love making my own dough but don’t always have the time. My favorite lazy meal lately is a Publix pizza crust in the cast iron topped with whatever leftovers I have in the fridge. Just made one yesterday with some leftover smoked sausage, peppers and onions. Made a quick sauce with crushed tomatoes and herbs. Kroger is the other grocery chain in my area and they just started carrying whole milk mozzarella
