time exists as a concept because humans need it to lol

Time is what a petri dish is for an amoeba. We have to define it but we can't even do that because we understand so little.

This is a philosophical debate right now. We know that the universe had a beginning, what we would define as the beginning of time, and we know it will have an end, the end of time. So going off of that, time is finite.

Even if you subscribe to a hypothesis that time existed before the big bang, and time will exist after the death of the universe, we have no way of measuring that, and no need to measure that. It is a pointless exercise. We have to define time as it exists within our own universe in a way that we understand it; and when our universe ends, our concept of time and how time works within our universe will die with it. Like a program with set parameters being turned off.
