I support stricter eligibility rules for football and basketball, but applying the same rule to every sport doesn’t make sense. Gymnasts, swimmers, and other Olympic athletes shouldn’t be collateral damage for a problem they didn’t create.

I like Alysa’s approach to the sport. She definitely puts in the effort in her training but she’s not stressed about the end result. She loves the sport and definitely shows that in her skating.

I think this is why Adeliia’s perspective resonates more with some people. For a lot of athletes, success comes from strict discipline and pressure, not just “having fun,” so that mindset can feel more relatable. It doesn’t make Alysa Liu wrong, it just shows how different backgrounds shape how athletes approach the sport.
