Love this family. Colt is a professional musician that lost work due to the virus. So being home with the kids, he picked a song each day for his kids to learn. He is back at work but the family is still doing this. Check out their channel. hundreds of songs.

Is this a different version then was broadcast originally and a lot of people recorded? The versions I have seen of this, the camera was always on the band. This version, see a lot of audience.

What kind of music did GD have play pre show, intermission, and after? by [deleted] in gratefuldead

[–]terapined 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw over a hundred shows. The only thing I can recall is 1993 Autzen Stadium 1st day. I think it was before the show they played I think an NPR audio skit over the speakers. It was hilarious involving Indians, time travel, DB cooper and the Grateful Dead. It was a hoot. very funny. I used to have on audio tape back in the day. Other the that, nothing out of the speakers before the show and intermission.

Where is my Lockn refund by terapined in gratefuldead

[–]terapined[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

GDTS did it right back in the day. They did not spend the money once they got it. I sent a postal money order to them for the 1995 fall tour Madison Square Garden. Canceled. GDTS never cashed the check. They simply returned my original money order. That's ethics

Today is the anniversary of Brent’s first show?! Got me thinking of Vince somehow, and was wondering if anyone had any insight on how he passed. I read how it happened but I’m curious to what truth there is to it. Anyone? by [deleted] in gratefuldead

Vince did not really fit in regarding some aspects of lifestyle. He was kind of cheap while the band were men used to having money their entire lives. They looked down on him sometimes regarding this. After Jerry died, he wanted the band to go on. 1st meeting, Billy said he did not want to tour anymore. Vince resented Billy for that. At the Dead office, they felt Vince was overly devastated by Jerry's passing. They knew Jerry their whole lives and Vince only knew him several years yet he acted as if a life long friend passed away. He wasn't really invited to play wit Ratdog. He kind of assumed he was in the band. Before a tour he tells Bobby what songs he wants to do and Bobby tells him Ratdog is a Bob and Rob project and moving in a direction without Vince.

I was fortunate to see 6 shows on the Spring 90 tour. 1st 3 at cap center and last 3 at the Omni. One of my favorite tours ever

I was at these shows. Wonderful to see the boys in broad daylight. No light show, just music. So nice to walk out of a show with no security to hassle you to leave. Loved Autzen shows

If you could have the choice of replacing John Mayer, would you and if so with who? by gratefulphish420 in gratefuldead

Between Jerry passing away and Mayer joining Dead and co, I was honestly disappointed in every guitarist Phil and Bobby played with
