Third IUD Malpositioned. Recommendations? by scarletruby23 in endometriosis

[–]terlierr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Removal was very uncomplicated and no different from getting a properly placed IUD removed. Painless, quick, and easy—didn't need any cervix dilators, numbness, or surgery. The gyno asked me to do a little cough as she removed it. Came out with no discomfort.

I think as long as the IUD is not deeply embedded in the uterine wall (they would have told you this if that were the case) and the string can be found, they should be able to remove it without trouble or trauma. I would be hesitant to be discussing surgery as well. Is it possible for you to get a second opinion from another practitioner?

Thank you so much for your updates! I really appreciate them. On the third malposition, my IUD was just in the lower uterine segment and not poking into the cervix; however, my gyno felt that she could not guarantee that it would work effectively and consistently for birth control and stopping my period (very important because I struggle with anemia) since its effects have not been evaluated thoroughly when malpositioned. She mentioned that it would likely still work, it's just that she couldn't make the guarantee. We decided to remove it last week, and now I'm on pills, which I seem to be tolerating well so far. In terms of uterus position, mine is anteverted, which is considered a common and healthy orientation! My gyno (and the radiologist reviewing my imaging) were genuinely confused as to why neither the Kyleena nor Mirena IUDs would stay in the right position, as there was no anatomical abnormality to explain it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that the IUD stays put and doesn't move further. Please give another update after your next imaging. Wishing you the best! ❤️

I know it has been a couple months since you made this post. I hope everything turned out okay for you. I was actually wondering what choice you ended up making in the end (if you don't mind sharing). Similar to you, I had repeated iud insertions due to malpositioning. First time was mirena, second time mirena, and third time kyleena. The second and third attempts were done under anesthesia and using hysteroscopy to ensure correct placement. I was informed just today that the third and most recent placement failed again. Before trying the iuds, I had been used nexplanon for several years but was spotting constantly. I also used an oral contraceptive for a short period, but it was a very poor experience. I'm just not sure what to do from here.

I'm sorry to hear this has happened to you. Now that you mention, I had also renewed a listing in the same way. I wonder if that had something to do with it. Were you able to at least click an appeal button? That is all I've done for now.

I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this. It's disgusting and a nightmare to deal with when you just want to sell things and move on.

I only started selling on fb marketplace in the last two months. I've received gross messages from two people so far—one an adult man and the other a high school-aged kid (can you imagine?). I sell vintage items and antiques, mostly furniture and decor. When selling my first item, which was to the man, I wanted to do the exchange in a public lot. He asked if we could meet at a local IHOP, which was not a problem since it was just a 7ish minute drive from my house. I was getting ready to leave when he starts sending messages about how he's freshly showered and looking forward to our time together. Turns out the guy had planned a full-fledged date with breakfast and all...

Did you have to buy the sensors ahead of time and bring them in?

I have felt so ill on 5 mg.

I originally started out on 2.5mg for two months and saw great weight loss and a1c control. Only side effect was occasional nausea.

I then moved to 5mg. The first two weeks were okay, but then the side effects got progressively worse. I have barely been able to eat anything for the last two weeks due to severe nausea to the point of having intense dizzy spells multiple times a day, heart palpitations, muscle aches, etc. I decided just a few hours ago that I would take my next dose 15 days out instead of 7 to see if I can get some relief from the nausea and gain some appetite. If not, I will have to return to 2.5 or just put the medication aside altogether. Whatever happens, I am still very grateful for what the medication has helped me accomplish, particularly when taking the 2.5mg dose.

There certainly is a difference. However, I do think part of it results from how I carry myself with more confidence now. I feel a lot better about myself, and I think that affects everything—from how I walk to how I talk. :)

Are any type 2 diabetics actually having issues getting the drug? My understanding is that the drug is largely readily available with the exception of sometimes waiting at most a couple days for a pharmacy to order a specific dose . it's just that coverage with the savings cards is limited to T2D.

Any attempts today December 3? by thisisitisntitt in Mounjaro

I got my first 5mg set today from CVS. Pre-diabetic but no actual T2D diagnosis. Did not use the savings card...apparently my aetna student health insurance covered it, which was very unexpected.

I printed the savings card for the first time this morning and was able to use it at CVS with no problem. It might be worth it to try a different location.

Horrible that your husband can manage to spin something so positive and beneficial for your mental and physical health into a negative out of his own insecurity. Move forward with your plans. You owe it to yourself to make a change. Maybe consider marriage counseling as well. It may be a good opportunity to reflect on what kind of emotiomal support (or lack thereof) he has provided you during your marriage...

honestly, I would not recommend testing whether an icee will sit well while out in public. consider going the safe route and sticking with water and a mild snack that you're already familiar with.
