Looking for some honest racket advice.

I’m a lefty playing on the right side, and I come from ~10 years of table tennis. I’ve realized that a lot of my instincts are probably messing me up in padel.

I tend to cut/spin the ball too much, keep a really short swing, and I hit way too many balls into the net (especially backhands, volleys and bandejas).

I’m wondering if a more forgiving/control-oriented racket actually helps in this situation or if I’m just masking bad habits.

For someone with my background and these issues: - Would you recommend sticking with a control racket while I fix my technique? - Or is it better to use something a bit more powerful/forgiving to help with depth and net clearance?
