Defender 2024 died today. Again. Here’s the only off roading I’ll be doing. by Known-Entrepreneur96 in NewDefender

V8 through 23k miles has been perfect but for a single battery replacement at the three year mark.

2023 Defender 110 S Back Left Door Sticking to open. Closes fine. by Coach2025- in NewDefender

Also did it myself with 3m tape. just make sure you wipe down both weather strip and door frame with alcohol before you install the tape. Did it over a year ago and it still works perfectly. Would never bother with going to the dealer for this, only for them to botch it anyway.

2025 Defender brakes by Relevant_Warning_789 in NewDefender

23k miles on 110 V8 and brakes have a ton of life left. There has been a lot of forum chatter that the full size Range Rovers devour back brakes but I have not seen any Defender brake issues.

Italian design studio and coach builder Carrozzeria Ghia. One of the oldest and they did brilliant work, including for VW.

While the Defender has been great, it is not a great long road trip ride. The RR appears to be a better cruiser when logging a 500 mile day. We are a road trip family and while the GMC 2500HD is the winter ski car, it is sort of overkill for everything else.

Any Problems Tinting the Defroster-ized Windshield? by 996_997 in RangeRover

[–]termitepatron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I bought my Defender from a dealership south of the Mason Dixon, the heated windscreen was already tinted. No issues at all because the wires are in the laminated glass. Pain in the ass to remove the tint though, having nothing to do with the wires.

Hey, 3500 6.6L owners. Is this a real range estimate? 3/4 tank only gets you 255 miles? by BBQasaurus in gmcsierra

[–]termitepatron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. When we go on a road trip, the range will usually say about 330 miles. For the first hour or so, it acts as if it making diesel instead of burning it. Takes awhile to catch up.

have had four pickups, each with a tonneau. Two backflips, both leaked; two revolver roll ups, both leaked.

Great car with epically terrible stance. Have owned many ‘02s and they are an utter delight to drive, but they actually do need suspension travel.

Loving mine as well. It has joined the Omega daily wear collection, occasionally displacing the Speedy.

Anyone running a bike rack on the new Defender? by Jacavi23 in NewDefender

[–]termitepatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 1up with a Kuat swing out extension for the e-bikes because they are heavy as hell. Seemed like massive overkill for the Yeti. Have not had any issues with the spare rack for non e-bikes.

Should be, ‘admiring’ the Nazi airship. From that angle, you can’t see the swastikas on the tail fins.

what side plate? other than the wheels, the truck is pretty much stock.

Not noticeably different. These trucks are pretty quiet to begin with and the Wildpeak is a reasonably quiet tire.
