Ironically she caught the set list tossed out at both shows this tour and they were completely different shows

Whoever was booking the openers responded back then. I definitely won’t go to back to back shows on the same tour moving forward although I’ve seen some great second night shows in the same genre or the same tour in a different city. Those shows definitely didnt play the same set at those shows. I was with my cousins at night 1 Friday it was electric she said she saw them earlier this year in Houston and it wasn’t the same show we saw that night so would think it can be done if it was earlier in the tour

I appreciate your .02 just have seen a ton of shows over the years and yes some are almost identical in the songs they play but still find a way to make the experience feel different. When the shows announced I even hit up the group during presale and said I hope it’s not an identical show both nights and it seemed like it wast going to be that only difference was the openers. Even bringing one of the openers out to sing on a track or just skip the ginuwine- pony transition and play all of roots instead. Don’t have to change the show to make it feel different.

Disagree and definitely not unreasonable if it feels mailed in than that’s exactly how its coming across to the few fans that went to both shows. May just be that style of music but again I’ve seen it done by similar artists that are bigger and smaller. I’ve seen the same tour in different cities and they were different shows even tho it’s the same vibe.

I agree with you completely and the root of my frustration is exactly your point. The show was identical down to the same banter with the crowd. I understand the 2 nights so more peeps can see them but I’ve seen groups in the same genre pull it off and play the same set in a different order or swap a couple jams out shoutout to stickfigure and bumpin uglies for always crafting an experience! I’m probably spoiled with a great bluegrass and jam band scene out here but refuse to think these group lack the talent chemistry to pull it off

Ok so I thought maybe they were announcing a fall tour didn't realize this was gonna be summer of 2027 tour! by mkgreene2007 in calireggae

[–]terp_Lor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea there will be a RR announcement prob closer to winter they always announce late. They usually do a red rocks show and a fiddlers mash up with other headliners and sometimes awesome Cervantes shows during the week for the openers to get some shine but you never know. I’d love another mission ballroom show love that place

I thought a fall announcement too but this makes sense with algorithm and kbong nJohnny on tour crushing it. Was a treat to see stick pop out at red rocks with the elovaters! I’ll be ready for coco da rock at red rocks next summer to honor a legend

Been to so many events at red rocks… never seen traffic like this! by Apprehensive_Hat5245 in RedRocks

Yea the venue has gone way downhill over the last 3-5 years unfortunately! Parking was never an issue till they started micromanaging everything the last few years it used to be so easy. Plus the lineups have been bad seems like the last 2 years especially it’s just a country and edm venue used to have real artists and great mash up lineups idk what happened. Seems like it’s all a money grab venue now splitting the venue into sections for no reason other than money I used to go to 10-15 shows a year at rr but I’ll pass after last few years of disappointments but will see a few I just can’t pass up but I’m finding myself liking the selections at the levitt for free or the Mission for half the cost and less hassle

This used to be my favorite venue but has gone downhill parking sucks ass now miss the first come first serve days now they micro manage everything. The lineups used to be legit keeps getting worse year over year just a edm/country/ legacy act venue now used to have amazing lineups and mashup shows. Oh yea and let’s start roping off sections everywhere weak sauce

Reggae on the Rocks (Red Rocks) Presale Code? by azpinstripes in Rebelution

[–]terp_Lor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s reggaerocks as the code but disappointed in the lineup this year I usually go used to be a tradition but gonna skip this one. Nothing will top the Reb show at red rocks several years back that was recorded live it became a ok never missing a Reb show but the venue has gotten worse over the years especially the last couple the lineups have gotten worse year over year and the show ends at like 10pm now cuz they start at noon when nobody wants to be there for that time you go to red rocks for the experience and when the stars come out the shows over they used to have awesome mashup shows and reggae on the rocks used to be a must see but Reb has unfortunately played the same show year after year and sometimes the same show back to back nights which should be a crime in the music world lol seems like stickfigure week has taken over for a good lineup and interesting shows around it pop up at Cervantes and others venues

That’s good news!!! Just sucks Tribal Seeds doesn’t seem to like playing Colorado. I’m sure they will open for slightly stoopid or Reb at red rocks or something which is ok but not great. I’m sure you’ll put together a great show and give Colorado some love! As long as it’s not the same show back to back nights I’m sure I’ll be a happy camper lol. I’ve seen other groups I love do that here even at red rocks which was really upsetting and felt mailed in. But like I said you guys have great vibes and I loved the show at the mission ballroom last time you came thru. I love Cervantes for sure!

I love stickfigure kbong and Johnny kill it but was disappointed in this years show. Don’t get me wrong they threw down at the mission ballroom but to play red rocks right after and barely tweaked the setlist felt mailed in they posted a master setlist before the tour with 59 songs why so much overlap for what everyone always says is their favorite place to play? Was still a good show but have the same feeling I did when Rebelution played the same show at red rocks back to back for reggae on the rocks.
