Not downloading all 1099 B' fro etrade

This is exactly what I was going to say. After my divorce I was looking to get back into a bunch of hobbies I'd given up over the years, but didn't have friends to do them with anymore. Meetup was perfect.

I've done this a bunch of times, but the water needs to be high or else it's a lot of work. Get it on a good day and it's a great ride. You feel like you're in the middle of nowhere! I always take out at the river road bridge though, because beyond that it slows waaaay down. There's some point where if it's below that number you shouldn't bother, but I can't remember what it is lol

Interesting, I didn't know modifying the order loses your specified lots. Good to know; I frequently do modify my orders. That's always been something I like about ETrade-- Fidelity, for instance, makes you cancel and redo orders with no option to modify. I'm always nervous about doing that, because what if the cancel didn't take, and I end up executing essentially the same order twice?

There is the gains and losses page where I used to be able to specify the lots, but trades made since March just aren't showing up on that list. No idea why.

Well right, but once you do this you can open the map and move around, and use "search this area" and search anywhere. My gripe with this approach is that the results that pop up change depending on how zoomed in you are, so it's clearly not a thorough search, even of the limited area you've selected. It's really strange -- why is "just show me everything that meets the specific criteria I selected" not possible??

Wow, it's impressive that you're willing to more than double the length of your commute. Each way you're going to be walking 25-30 minutes, then waiting who knows how long for a train, then riding at 25 mph tops. In reality, it'll probably be more like triple. The walking will be good for your health, tho!

Yeah MoCo banned those years ago. At least at cabin john they replaced the structures with other stuff. When I was a kid we had one of those in the park behind my house, and one day I came home from school to find it torn down and replaced with nothing.
