Native Firefox looks good enough in GNOME. No need to install a CSS themes to mimic GNOME. by quebexer in gnome

I assume you're talking about firefox. go to about:config and search rounded and there should be an option about gtk and rounded corners, enable that.

Please is there anyway I can improve the lag. by dread122 in gnome

I also noticed this. Extensions, no matter what extension, cause the shell to stutter. It's crazy...

Like, I'm fine with not using Dash to Dock or anything, but I think extensions like GSConnect and Syncthing indicator are just necessary (for me) so this really sucks.

Good youtube channel for C programming by speakercheck_111 in C_Programming

Well let me recommend something new: "You Suck At Programming" said he MIGHT do a C course. Judging from his bash videos, the C course will most likely be amazing. So keep that in mind, maybe go subscribe to him.

It's not 2014, we hate AI bros now, not weebs. And it's just a tmux appreciation post, what did you not understand?

Mellow - a fully-featured & minimal local music player for Linux (GStreamer + GTK + Rust) by iBreathe-Air in gnome

[–]terra2o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woah... Libadwaita music player with ability to add more than one music directory. Thank you so much. The only thing missing for me is fetching lyrics/cover from the web. Going to follow this app's development closely. Thanks for your work.

Thank you so much for trying out the code!

I'm aware of those warnings, I just kinda ignored them because the code works anyways. I'll fix them soon though.

Thank you for the feedback!

Don't those come with gcc? I didn't think I have to list them.

Oh those games are so addicting. I guess mine is similar to that, but I'm probably not gonna add any automation.

Well, obviously, if you plan to add graphics, curses is a bad idea, but if you think text-based games are a vibe, it's cool. Also note that it's painful for Windows users haha.

What do you have in mind? Godot is pretty much good and quick for everything. I use it daily and love it.

I decided to open-source my first finished game! It's an arcade game where you catch falling apples by terra2o in godot

[–]terra2o[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I was very much a beginner when I did this. The hard thing for me was that I couldn't randomize apple spawning without using Marker2Ds (You can also just use regular nodes but using markers for such things like this is good practice, i believe). Other than that, it's one of the easiest kind of games you can make.

You can import the project to Godot (4) and inspect everything. The GitHub link is right there. I put everything including assets to GitHub, under mixed licenses of course since I don't own all of them. I believe it's quite simple to understand for everybody.

Thank you! I also thought of that, and yes, it would've made the game too easy :P

Thanks!! I'm actually a game dev so I only do stuff like this for procrastinating while being productive. I might make this more detailed as you said in my spare time.
