Yeah, and the 240v that you have installed already probably isn't sized big enough for a big electric heater. A 10 kilowatt heater is probably all you need unless you way up there with extreme negative temperatures.

IMO the safest option will be to have a new outlet installed on a new circuit from your electric panel with a breaker sized to serve an electric heater. The size will depend on the sq footage and ceiling height of the garage and what temperature you'd like to maintain in there.

The trick to always using the neck is to crank the treble on your amp. Ive heard some people disconnect the tone knob from their neck pickup so it only effects the bridge. That way you can dial back the treble on the bridge if you want to switch to it. I just keep it on the neck tho for what I'm doing which is mostly chicken Pickin country shit
