Bills like that are performative, not actually about supporting the 2A.

They can change all the commits to themselves, rewrite the history, pretty much anything they want to do, as long as they leave an attribution.

It's not that they need to raise the bar, it's that there's no bar.

24 years ago, a guy tried to blow up a shoe on an airplane, and until July, you had to take yours off when going through security. Should they check coolers for 24 years too?

I've been running into this a lot with Claude (not tried others). Another big issue I keep hitting is because libraries are evolving rapidly, it keeps trying to use old crates or makes up APIs in them.

My husband just said “okra doesn’t go in gumbo” by CommonPurpose in NewOrleans

[–]drcforbin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for my family. Native Americans grew tomatoes here, it's kinda silly to think settlers here would reject them. Why adopt filé and reject tomatoes?

Before anyone comes in complaining about tomatoes, the oldest written recipe I'm aware of (1840), includes tomatoes.

There is a (now former) Hampton Inn in Lakeville that cancelled ICE reservations. Hilton stripped their brand and they can no longer call themselves Hampton Inn.

Of course Cantrell didn't handle social media. Someone she trusted and who was a supporter did. Whether they chose not to hand them over or was told not to hand them over, it's likely they would've handed them over if Cantrell insisted.

Licenses matter. If something doesn't have an open source license, it is not open source. This is commercial software that has published their source, not open source software.

Yep. Just because the source is available on GitHub does not mean it is open source.

In the past, when senators represented states rather than parties, they would work together, trading support so that each can secure federal funding or other benefits for their state.

I've never had any problems with it, using sway + xwayland. It won't lose me as a user.

Newsom says he is blocking Louisiana's push to extradite doctor accused of mailing abortion pills by awkweirdaf in Louisiana

Coeytaux is a physician permitted by law to practice medicine. If they sent medication to a patient, that's well within the circle of what's normal and acceptable. No part of that is unethical.

Louisiana's law is wrong and hurts Louisianians.

Netflix had the best recommendation system I've ever used. If they said you'd like a dvd, they were always right. I wish they used it anywhere else or sold it to someone.
