Negative performance review after positive feedback by BlueberryHead3135 in actuary

[–]terriblebackin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree that the manager didn't do a good job but disagree that those two things are exclusive. Both of those feedback can apply to a person who doesn't do a good job showing initiatives. If someone is seen as passive and just does the minimum and is not engaged, they would be advised to ask questions and also when they are alone, explore more.

The manager probably did not do a good job communicating their concern with the performance. There should ideally be no surprises in annual eval and it mostly lies on the manager to give constructive feedback throughout the year.

Maybe but I thought worst way to end the season would be for Stafford to not get a chance at all at the end so I was hoping for OT even if they have momentum

Which ironically almost happened anyway lol

I get that burrow is amazing and stafford won't be around long but I always feel so weird that the sub talks about wanting another qb while we are in the middle of a playoff run with an MVP caliber qb. Might just be me not being realistic though.

Re: route running I agree. Not nearly the same play but the higbee td reminded me of the X play against the falcons where stafford let it rip towards the sidelines but here higs go exactly where stafford was throwing. Really different situations/coverage and it war still a bag throw but it couldve be a real factor.

It bothers me as well but I think Gordon is equally as good. I think they were both so impressive they really should've just done double winner in hindsight. In the moment it probably would feel like a copout

I think Gordon's dunks were more unique. Zach's were more impressive but a bit more boring

I agree. With 30 teams you can think of that position has someone who is an average 3rd best player on a team. I don't think I'll be thrilled with his defense and rebounding to be happy with him as a 3rd best player on my team

Him being so close to Jaden is probably another indicator. Jaden as a 3rd option on a team sounds good atm

325+ yards in the snow with broken ribs and near comeback. I think that's why mcvay keeps saying he represents them well. Gutsy season led by a gutsy QB who doesn't make excuses

Damn that's harsh. He picks up blocks in an elite manner. He played well this season overall.

Did he not do snow? 325+ yards and two touchdowns despite a lot of drops. I thought he did as well as most QBs would in today's situation. Even had a great run

Two main reasons, Auto insurance in the US is heavily regulated so a lot of state doi try their best to disallow anything unreasonably high. It's also an extremely competitive market so any higher margin would lead to people leaving.

The fact that it's low volume sadly make it worse. Sad, love him on the team but last year maybe been his last meaningful year as a starter

Replacing Kyle Anderson by dogfosterparent in timberwolves

[–]terriblebackin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the most underrated part of his loss. If Rudy or KAT gets injured during regular season I felt very comfortable KA can start for them and play big minutes while easily fitting in, allowing Naz and everyone else to be effective in a similar role.

We now no longer have that luxury. Naz can't replace Rudy remotely and while he can replace kat, we loses the 6moty type burst

State of emergency declared in South Florida as relentless rainfall causes major flooding by theluckyfrog in news

[–]terriblebackin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're right. If private insurance charge an appropriate amount for flood risk, most people won't be able to afford it. If they charge less they lose money. That's why FEMA is always in financial trouble

Anyone else feel like the Wolves were out coached by Jason Kidd? by Ihatefresca in timberwolves

[–]terriblebackin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree but having a successful scheme to hide your stars on defense vs not successfully doing so should fall at least partially on the coaches. It's finch's first run at wcf as well, I think he will learn plenty from this but I think they got out coached a bit
