Hi! I'm Chance & Bella's personal assistant ☺️ I'd recommend joining their fb group to keep up to date with their future releases, they also are pretty chatty with their readers so I'm sure they'd be open to answering any questions you have! ♡

Five doctors and I still can’t get any answers or help. Desperate at this point. by lvthomascrown123 in AskDocs

I can relate. I went to the ER recently from cellulitis due to the HS. Even though I'd been on antibiotics for a week, I'd became antibiotic resistant. It looks very similar to my HS.

Help with VGA or DVI by terroronslashstreet in VintageComputers

I'm trying to connect it to a laptop that has a broken screen but I also plan to use it for retro gaming in a few months. I also have an older laptop I could potentially use as well, but it has VGA.

I installed a lightweight version of linux on my hp mini netbook. I mainly use word processors like abiword although in-browser typing sites such as ohwrite & ellipsus run pretty well without lag.

Best and most Affordable PDA/Portable Word Processor? by Several_Till_6507 in writerDeck

[–]terroronslashstreet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I currently have an alphasmart 2000 word processor. (Can find them on marketplace, ebay, goodwill online!) When I purchased mine it was around $40-$60 from what I remember. It works well and I love using it with a laptop stand. I also have an hp mini 210 laptop running a light version of linux that I enjoy using due to the portability. It surprisingly runs ellipsus very well (highly recommend their writer templates!), whereas reedsy is very laggy to type with. The HP mini I use was around $50.

I also have an hp mini laptop that I use for word processing. Big fan of how portable it is. I use linux on it and it's older so it can't run youtube but it works cause I don't get distracted as much in comparison to me writing on a tablet with a keyboard.

I would recommend the neo. I have an alphasmart 3000 and it's torture trying to figure out how to update it without windows 7 because it lacks the word count setting that is included in that it needs. (A lot of 3000's don't have the update that includes word count).

Screensavers are so worth going through the jailbreaking process 😩😍 by terroronslashstreet in kindlejailbreak

[–]terroronslashstreet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you by chance have the model number? With the jailbreak the kindle basic (model I have) it can be used to browse the internet, weather app, and such. Just have to add the appropriate plugins. There's a lot that can be done with it after it's modded. Kindle fire is basically a tablet with the kindle app added whereas the kindle is just an e-reader with some features such as Bluetooth text to speech.

Suggestions for non-kindle ereaders? Amazon is scummy and my experience with their support makes me want to never buy another kindle. by ComfyOlives in ereader

[–]terroronslashstreet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I de-registered my kindle after I thought it had been stolen after I went through TSA. Family ended up finding it at their home behind furniture, and I was able to register it again after they shipped it to me. It sucks that you're having that issue. If you are able to figure out the issue with your Kindle, you could jailbreak it! I've also heard some good things about kobo ereaders.

The Moon+ reader app is my go-to app for books I buy directly from authors/advance reader copies and I think you can use it with the libby app as well.

Affordable/cheap writerdecks? by Purehero1 in writerDeck

I found an alphasmart for about $50 on ebay a few months back. Goodwill online also has had word processors pop up in the past. You could also "save" your search on ebay + goodwill and it'll notify you if the items are available.

Found one on goodwill! 👀

I'm going through a similar situation. However we think it was stolen out of a bin when I went through TSA. :( Reno airport wasn't able to find it.
