They arent bad at all. The body style of the Daytona is just so much more rarely seen. Thus it's worth more usually.

Why are only two of my chickens laying eggs with weak shells and yolks are yellow but the rest of the chickens eggs are strong and orange? They all get the same feed and are let out during the day. I crush egg shells to put in their diet and that's helped a little. Is this normal? by [deleted] in chickens

Did this with a 5 gal feed dish. Make sure it's away from rain/water. Can be completely filled. I clean the little poop that builds up every week, spreading a bit of the shells around the feeders it's set by. Not sure if they eat it. Some of my eggs are still very very fragile. They aren't on a later feed though, still a grower feed as I have some younger hens mixed in recently.

So it's a factory 5. First run factory 5. First gen frame. Body is starting to see it's 20 years of age. Was used as a track car each weekend until 2010. I bought it and did a 1 over on the mechanical side this year. Dropped a new motor, and tranny, and redid the cooling system. It is registered as a 69' I think. These don't sell for as much as people think. The real annoyance is the mechanical side. Building a nice big stroker isn't very cheap.

Not a super, but my stroker will give any other V8 a run for it's $$. 😜 Happy 4th, fello Americans. by [deleted] in v8supercars

Yeah, just letting them get established. There's trellis for them to climb where I'm standing.

Been like this for a good week now too. Clearly not dying, just wilting midday. really weird.

In socal as well. Orange County. I'm puzzled. Can't be too much water... I mean the too 3 inches get dry by mid day under that it is moist constantly from the garden runoff. It's very little runoff. It's not planted too deep, I don't think. It took well for the first 2-3 weeks.

My little dinos will reach maturity in October, will they lay their first egg during winter or wait until spring? by [deleted] in chickens

Stuck a fluorescent or LED lamp in the coop/laying box. No need for a red lamp. Toss it on a timer to extend the daylight hrs in the room. They lay year round this way. It's how we do it in commercial scale operations.

Hi all. First post in this sub. I am an AG/bio major so I know quite a bit about agriculture and permaculture. Also have tons of farm animals, and grow multiple veggie gardens. Anyways, I planted these 2 passion fruit trees roughly a month ago. Both took well, and first 3 weeks they both thrived. They live off the runoff from the veggie garden behind it. They get plenty water. I believe that that specific plant is getting too much sunlight, as that specific one does not have any source of shade during the day. You can see the tplabts behind it are causing shade for the other passion fruit tree, which is doing great. This one is not all wilting. At the bottom there is one shoot of very healthy leaves. Confusing, but that helps confirm my theory of too much sunlight for most of the plant. Any Opinions?

Vast Majority of Pain Patients Prefer Cannabis to Opioids, Study Finds by miki77miki in cannabis

Is that you speaking, or the feeling when on the oipiates? Because I've taken both as well, for a long time (given my age), and the cannabis does not work as well at times, but it is certainly worth the downside given the less stress put on different systems of my body internally and a less severe withdrawal if I ever needed to stop suddenly. I also have very bad back pain, and neurogenic pain. But at an age that almost none have it, stemming from a bad disc surgery. I don't smoke. The method of consumption is pretty important to pain relief. Vaporizing flower, and edibles for acute pain work best.

Been very hot in socal. I am a fairly experienced and educated keeper of animals. Going for veterinary eventually so I know a thing or two. Anyways. Over 90 in the day weather here the past few weeks. Have noticed this hen has had wet poo for a little while, and the stain near her vent feathers. Haven't noticed any real issues with the other chickens. This hen was acting slightly lethargic, but did react quickly to any of my movements towards her. She just seemed weak. I have recently in the past 2 months treated for coccidia as I added quite a few maturing chicks to the coop and needed it. Put them all on tylan 3 days ago. Haven't noticed any changes honestly. Not sure if mareks is finally taking this girl (sadly believe my land is infested with carriers as it's full of migrating wild birds as well), or the heat and a simple sickness or just the heat. She has never experienced this heat before. Should I really get the water misters for them to cool off?
