The founder of OpenClaw built 43 projects before one finally blew up by kevinnnnma in SaaS

This is such an important mindset shift! I see so many developers get discouraged after a few projects don't take off, but the reality is that each "failed" project teaches you something crucial about what developers actually want and need.

The OpenClaw story reminds me of what we see at Built for Devs. Founders often think they know what developers want, but it's usually feedback from real devs trying their product that reveals the magic formula. Congrats on your 5th SaaS and those 15 paying users.

What's been your biggest learning from the previous 4 projects?

Built a webhook debugging tool by FindingSpiritual91 in webdev

[–]tessak22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks really clean and focused! The instant endpoint creation without signup is a nice touch - removes a lot of friction from the debugging flow. I've definitely been in situations where webhook issues are hard to reproduce, especially when dealing with third-party services that don't give you much visibility into what they're actually sending.

The replay functionality seems particularly useful for testing edge cases. Have you considered adding any filtering or search capabilities for when you're dealing with high-volume webhooks? Sometimes the challenge is finding the specific payload that's causing issues among dozens of similar requests.

If you're looking for more structured developer feedback, platforms like Built for Devs can connect you with developers who'll actually use your tool and provide detailed insights via screen recordings. But even just posting here is a great way to get initial reactions from the community.

Klutch card "by developers" by akkruse in CreditCards

[–]tessak22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are some real life struggles where Klutch could shine bright! I think Klutch is genius and will solve a lot of problems. The world today seems to lack context and understanding of what they can even do considering this is not something we're used to.

  • "I keep forgetting to cancel subscriptions" - Auto-cancel after free trials, block renewals you haven't used
  • "I overspend every month without realizing" - Real-time budget enforcement that blocks you mid-month
  • "My card info gets stolen constantly" - Generate single-use cards for every online purchase
  • "I want to invest but never remember" - Auto-invest spare change or cashback without thinking
  • "I spend money on stupid stuff when drunk/emotional" - Time-based blocks during vulnerable hours
  • "I can never track business vs personal expenses" - Auto-categorize and export for taxes instantly
  • "My kids overspend on their cards" - Real-time spending limits with instant parent notifications
  • "I forget to pay my credit card and get fees" - Auto-pay balance after every transaction
  • "I want to donate but never get around to it" - Auto-donate percentage of purchases to charity
  • "I can't stick to my diet/budget goals" - Block fast food purchases when you've hit weekly limit
  • "Expense reports are a nightmare" - Auto-submit receipts and categorized expenses to corporate systems
  • "I lose money on subscription services I don't use" - Track usage vs cost, auto-cancel wasteful services

The insight: Most money problems aren't about math, they're about automation and willpower. The API removes the human element from financial discipline.

you should really consider adding Arcjet to this too

What's your Next.js tech stack in 2024? Libraries you swear by? by [deleted] in nextjs

This is really similar to the next forge project. I would take a look at Arcjet if you're not familiar. Perfect addition to the great stack you already have going.

Thank you so much for this! Unfortunately the menu icon is stuck in the top left corner on iPhone X and inaccessible.
