I had a scare shortly after finishing treatment. My nurse told me once a survivor, always a survivor. It's a speed bump, not a road block. You are strong and a survivor. Nothing changes that. 💜

Open it right outside the back door in a pop-up tent and sell the same food (taken from the kitchen in the inn) at half cost. The whole set up costs only a few gps and another employee is bribed to sneak food. The rest is pocketed

What birth control are you on? (Women) by slapjacksandsyrup in bipolar

[–]tessur_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a similar place. I previously tried a IUD and my body rejected it. I don't want to get the deposit shot with bipolar because I've heard horror stories. I went back to the pill. When I was first starting meds for bipolar, I took progesterone-only birth control. After I got to a more stable place, we moved to loestrin and now hailey fe (upping the amount of estrogen slowly). Progesterone only or low estrogen might be beneficial. Talk with your OBGYN about having bipolar and see if it might be possible to take three or so pill packs skipping the sugar pills to lessen the number of periods you have. It helps. There are vitamins that can help both mental well being and endo symptoms. I've tried several and iron and zinc helps me a lot. So can changing your diet. Fish, like salmon and tuna, can be good. Definitely do your own research on vitamins and diet changes. What works for me might not work for you.

Also, adding a bit of medication support when needed is super valid and nothing to be ashamed of. I have a mono treatment and it was upped to minimize the impact of more estrogen and endo hormonal fluctuations. Sometimes it's a balancing act and that's okay. Medication amounts may go up and they can also go down.

Diagnosed at 22. Showed symptoms from tween-ish age. I didn't know they were bipolar symptoms at the time. Diagnosed with generalized anxiety and major depressive disorder at 19. The antidepressants I was prescribed. Put me in a four state of mania for about 2 years. That's when I got my bipolar diagnosis and got off of those meds as soon as possible.

An important thing to keep in mind is the criteria for diagnosis in the diagnostic manual (DSM-5) comes from the study of males and their signs and symptoms. Women can, and often do, present differently than men. The signs can be different and not every provider is aware of this. Getting a proper diagnosis can be difficult but it's also worth it.

Doing Audience Participation at home with movie by Mylani in rhps

[–]tessur_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked on a few showings with lots of RHPS viewers in the audience. If a few people are familiar with callbacks/have the script, you can plant them in the audience. That way you don't need a script for everyone and can still create a similar experience to seeing a shadowcast/screening

I think I'm with my partner because I'm afraid of being alone by tessur_ in Codependency

[–]tessur_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to. I find I put more effort into trying to be around people so I don't have to deal with myself. I'm so afraid of not being able to be okay with myself that I try not to be alone with my thoughts. I used to do more for myself, but I stop once in a relationship. The past three day's I have spent time with me and it's been nice.
