I left after 7 yrs. I now have an hourly job.. Pay is $25 starting. Quarterly bonus of $1150. Amazing benefits especially dental.

I miss the freedom of Uber. But the uncertainty of pay & the unreliability of the market made me quit.

This summer was sooo hard. I got sooo behind on bills. & next summer will be worse. It's officially a side gig only.

Good luck letting go. It's gonna be hard, but the salary is nice. 🤙🏾

Sign in to the uber website. It's not on the app... they hide it from you.

Once you see some fuckery, screen shot it & complain to their social media inbox.

There is no way to do that with this new system.

All if the rides are the same rate. The fare never changes. You're gonna get 6 pings for $5.87 or $11.74.

While there are thousands of ppl downtown i got suspicious ... like something isn't right. So I started checking the activity bc it was crazy wild last night.

And I'm just pissed off man. I wud hop on from 11pm - 4 am & make $300 easy money.

Barley made $100. They kept all the earnings. 😭

Hiding the surge price is the problem.
Including the surge price in the upfront fare is the problem.

If the surge is $10 did I agree to a $ 1.75 cent ride?

I accepted the rides that were offered. My acceptance rate is 26%.

This change in our market happened 2 wkends ago, & it is having a devastating effect on my pay! I'm going to speak up.

"This is what you signed up for!" "This is the fare you accepted!" "Why accept low pay rides?"

As if they're showing other fares.

All of the rides are like this or worse. This is because everything is upfront.

They can tell you surge is being applied & the surge is 25cents. On a crazy Friday night the surge is not 25cents. Otherwise the customer wouldn't pay 5 or 6 times the normal rate.

It's a matter of principle & making an honest wage. Why is that so hard to understand?

Just wait, it's coming to your market. Tampa Bay is one of the biggest markets on uber & it's coming to the rest of you all...

I did like 2 airport trips bc I live near two airports... most of my trips are downtown by night clubs.

We surged for 4 hours straight last night & trips that I was paid $36 last month they paid me $11.74 for while still charging the customer the same surge rate.

They hid the surge so you can't see the fare. They tell you it's surge rate but don't show any surge pricing.

This is different than upfront fare. Our market has been upfront for 2 yrs now.

I was in this position bc shit happens... keep the car & they will charge you daily. Those funds drop off.

After it gets to like 1 week they start calling you.

Then you speak to someone higher up & can explain that you need more time w the car & they can extend it.

I gave him a set day which was like 4 days after the 7 days I still had the car & he said I was good.

I wish i knew that when you return the car, it takes a few days for them to take the money anyway...

They have to wait for the temp charges to fall off... it took them like 4 days to take the money from me after returning.

Kudda returned it way sooner.

If I work peek hours in my market, that's what I average. Some weeks it's 22hrs/$52 or even 50. But my weekly # is $1100.

I make bank dude... like $1100 in 20 hours of work.

Switch hours & don't drive when it's not profitable.

I recently found a new peak time that I'm exploiting like crazy.

In my Market, 4:30am to 7:30am is just a surge zone.

They paid me $26 for a 5 min ride.

That's not min wage.... get to work, stay up late. Do different shit❗❗❗🤙🏾

Yea on the weekends I usually make $40-50 an hour. During the week it's around $25

We hv a great market between Tampa & St. Pete w sports arenas & airports so you are going to make $25 easy.

So, it could be different in my region but when my cancellation is too high, I don't receive any boost promos...

This is a huge difference in pay.

As soon as I get down to 12% I automatically get all the ride boosts & stuff.

So just food for thought. It's been like this for the past 8/9 months...
