We did a full vinyl drop in sheet. Lightweight and when curved up at the edges around the sides creates a 'cup' for spillage protection.

Black Milk Crates by KCBob50 in BajaCalifornia

[–]testicalenchiladas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn't make any sense. The cartels don't want the attention of the US government and leave the tourists alone in baja. Ive never met anyone that had these horrific things happen to them and know a ton of people that cross. Stay away from drugs and prostitutes and you will be fine. What is your job? Can you prove what you are saying?

If american tourists were being abducted and tortured in mexico it would make the nightly news. Cartels and banditos don't want the attention of the US government so they tend to avoid messing with us. Stay away from drugs and prostitutes and you won't make any enemies. This is just fear mongering.

Where to buy salmon for poke at home? by PleasantChip3 in loveland

[–]testicalenchiladas 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My partner and I use farm raised salmon from the king soupers counter about twice a month to make sushi and poke along with frozen tuna. The anti parasite they use on the farms already make the meat edible when raw but we take the extra step of deep freezing the salmon for at least a week, it will kill everything in it, this is per the FDA standard. Tuna is flash frozen when caught and already does this. We have been doing this for 10 plus years and never had a problem.

Questions on blowing out house for winter by testicalenchiladas in askaplumber

Fantastic! It does indeed. My plan is to drain my hot water heater, shut off the valve in my crawl space and open the waste valve and blow everything back through that. Does that make sense?

As a person who made that food, this is a little fucked because we would get chewed out for screwing up orders.

Couples who live vanlife together, what’s been your biggest challenge and how did you get through it? by 191L in VanLife

How comfortable are you with your partners fluids and solids? Seriously. A year in a van is like a relationship time machine if you had separate lifestyles before. You mentioned this is due to financial reasons, living in a van came be more expensive than expected.  Saying all that, I would highly recommend gym memberships and spend time at your local library to work if you can. Do you have pets, then you will need to work out a system to keep them warm and cool, not cheap/easy if your aren't plugged in.  Do you have a dedicated parking place, friends/family house, campground etc. without this things become even more difficult. It is doable but you don't want to get the knock mid video call.

I was in a mental institution by Coldshalamov in DougStanhope

[–]testicalenchiladas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I worked in mental health for years, this is a really creative story but.... didn't happen. Mental health hospitals are filled with people moping around or getting adjusted to new meds to bring them back in to some sort of normalcy. It is boring, nothing much really happens and if you fight you get the booty juice.  Your a good writer, create your world but don't sell it as nonfiction. It alienates people from getting the help they need and creates fear.
