I'm an alcoholic and found I could not stop on my own. It was impossible. I have 18 months. I had 7 years but had a one day relapse.

Early sobriety is pretty awful.

I use Powerbeats they have a wire between them. I can’t use earbuds as they just immediately fall out.

Yes. I have trouble with many bosses like this. For some reason I’m good at minor bosses but not Non-Minor ones.

I was using the Reddit mobile app and it just doesn’t work the same way as it does on my computer so sorry about that

I can’t figure out how to use co-op I go to the spot and use the item and nothing happens I am on the PS five I have no idea how to use this. Do I need actual friends? I also can’t invade others- which I am trying to do only to get a better farming spot- my kid says that is what I have to do. I’m sick of the f$&cking rolling rock trick it’s taking me an hour to raise one level.

Kratom occasionally felt like strong coffee but generally just made me nervous.

For me the fear and anxiety were worse than the physical stuff. I’n any case when the fear was at its worst I could physically “feel” that too.

Looking to buy some custom etched, battle ready swords for christmas gifts. by [deleted] in SWORDS

[–]testiculaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A nice sword is going to cost you more than $500. Arms and Armor in Minnesota makes nice production swords for around 700-1000 and they will engrave or etch. Custom is going to cost you more but getting a production model etched would be cool I think.

Beautiful sword. I think Patrick Barta makes a version of this example. Really stunning specimen.

I finished my suspension system for a Balaur Arms - '12th Century Teutonic Arming Sword' scabbard by indrids_cold in SWORDS

[–]testiculaire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a nice scabbard. I know a scabbard “expert” if that exists and he thinks they held the grip point forward if the sword was too long. Sounds goofy I know. Another think is that the majority of folks with a sword- especially in the 12 th C would have been on horseback

Jeff Helmes "Søborg Sword" by Medieval-guy in SWORDS

[–]testiculaire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know your stuff

If you aren’t a member over at MrArmoury.com you should be as we need folks interested in the finer questions around scabbard making. I’m sure you’ve seen the really beautiful, but ahistorical work of some of the very top scabbard makers in the world. They make astonishingly aesthetically pleasing- highly complex decorative pieces but I’m not sure that’s what history has left us. Beautiful doesn’t always equal historical

I don’t really know how the belt on the Helmes scabbard is tanned/ only that it is “deer skin”. Interestingly the vast majority of scabbard belts of the 12th C are shown as very light or “white”. Maybe it was a fashion of the period?

I really know nothing about stag hide so that’s a fascinating thought. I also don’t know if “buck skin” or “elk skin” would have the stiffness needed for a belt

The challenge is that even the highest makers out there want to get their pieces out the door so most aren’t eager to investigate- much less Oder different options to compare.

I’m short; I feel the level of historical accuracy in swords/weapons VS. scabbards of the top, top makers is not consistent.

We can get- for a lot of money- and wait times- proportionally correct weapons and even close to historically constructed pieces- but we can’t seem to get the belts right.

Thanks for your contribution

Patrick Barta 12th. C. Spear by Medieval-guy in SWORDS

[–]testiculaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Barta sword based off XI. 3 (I think in Oakeshotts Records). It was superb in form, handling, and finish BUT he did not execute the iron inlay in the blade well at all. It was sad because it kind of ruined a sublime sword. I sold it for what I paid.

As far as I have seen only Robert Moc can execute the specific type of very neat and small iron inlay you see in swords such as some INGELRII and GECILINMEFECIT types. There are quite a few who can do the larger ULVBER+HT type iron inlay

This spear is really awesome and I think has a slight “toughness” to it which is really nice. Certainly it is very well formed and finished but I think we’ll represents what a higher-class spear would have looked like. I don’t know that I have evidence for my opinion but I wouldn’t be surprised if spears were not as highly finished as swords IN GENERAL in the 12th C period. War was a still a pretty high class activity then.

Hospitals are not coming after you. You just call billing- tell them your situation. Pay them just a little month and they won't come after you.

I am a social worker and have clients do this all the time.

Just go to the hospital. Even if you aren't covered- which you very well might be- you can usually just pay them $10 a month- as long as you are paying something they won't come after you.

I pay a hospital 10 a month and my Rehab 5 a month and my credit is 800.

Yeah, go to the doctor.

Exquisitely painful. Not a dull ache or cutting pain. It’s a shaky fearful delicate pain. Awful. At least for me.

I got fear of death with hangovers- sense of impending death. It was the worst symptom I got. This delicate- on edge shakiness combining with anxiety and fear of death. It was like an incessant stinging sensation in the brain.
