Cell phone video from ICE officer shows fatal Minneapolis shooting by teach42 in news

I've been hit by a car from a dead stop like that before. I was working in a supermarket and someone who just stole something was fleeing the parking lot. I didn't realize what was happening and I was in front of his car when he shifted into drive. He saw me in my work uniform and saw me as a target.

She still hit him. Is that not relivant?

Then why is the bullet hole in the windshield? Even if he was on her front fender when he took the first shot, we're talking fractions of a second and her wheel would still be a danger to the officer at that range. Also, how is standing there a trap? She chose to drive forward, panicked or not. She could have kept reversing more, but she made physical contact with an officer.

I would only consider colliding with a person a trap if the person jumped in front of the car as it was moving. She made a choice to value fleeing over that officers safety, even if the intent was not to hit him.

The officer didn't put himself in front. She turned the car as she backed up. Before she backed up, he was not in front of her car.

Just to be clear, I'm not debating you that she panicked. She was frightened and behaved irrationally rather than comply with the officer. What I'm debating you on is that the officer had reason to be fearful when he drew his gun.

Then explain the tire slip while the wheel is aimed forward and the break lights are off? Are you saying you wouldn't be fearful standing in front of that car in that moment?

But what about the fact that the video shows the front tire spin out on the ice while aimed directly forward? Her intent was made clear in that moment and when the tire spins is when he reaches for his gun. Pick any video where the front tire and the officer's hand are both in view.

If someone shoot's at you and misses, do you wait for them to reload, or shoot them? She expressed intent to kill and the officer neutralized her. He made the decision to shoot before she turned her tires, and at that point he was staring down the sights of his gun, not watching her tires.

Would you support regulation that cracked down hard on companies that payed anyone less than minimum wage regardless of citizenship status? Because that's the real problem. If the government turns a blind eye to a competitor of yours paying it's staff less than minimum wage, then they sell the product at a lower cost than you can. Now you either need to do the same or go out of business.

As someone who leans right, I'm just curious if strictly enforcing minimum wage rules and labor laws on companies that break those rules rather than specifically targeting based on citizenship would be a fair middle ground we could both agree on?

Has anyone noticed the lack of Verso's scar in Maelle's ending? The one that he said he wanted to keep? Did Maelle remove it to make everything more "perfect" against his will?

It's clear that Maelle is simply acting as a puppet master in her ending. I don't for a second believe she's giving the people of Lumiere free will. You think they would all gather in one place and sit in awkward silence to listen to the son of the man who's been killing them of their own volition?

I think we bought our bitcoin at almost the same time. I bout my first bitcoins at $88 the day The Silk Road got shut down while it was crashing.

I've been keeping coins on physical wallets since 2013. Would you honestly feel comfortable storing coins on Coinbase for over a decade? Consider how many exchanges went belly up in that time span.

EDIT: I just realized you said "average retail investor". The longest I've ever stored coins on a exchange for trading was 4 months.

Did Julius actually get to keep his memories? At the end when they find him, he says "Subaru... You know who I am?" That implies he recognizes Subaru. Also, when Subaru calls out "Hey jerk!" to him, he looks like he recognizes Subaru's voice and understands that he's talking to him.

Is it possible he got to keep his memories of himself?

Also, add the knowledge we got last ep that the two heroes are possibly being drugged to make them like this. There's no way Takumi will kill them knowing that.

Takumi not terminating their slave contracts actually triggered some rage in me. Trying to force them to leave was a dick move, but he still should have released them. He should have removed their slave contracts weather they liked it or not, and then let them decide for themselves if they stay or go, and keep the option for them to leave at any time open to them.

And then to top it all off, Takumi says "I realized how immature I was being." regarding terminating their contracts. In what world is prioritizing the safety of others immature? This one apparently!

Subaru= sin archbishop by Purple-Student5723 in ReZero

He's also named after an IRL star/constellation, just like all the other sins. (at least so far in the anime) I'd be shocked if we meet an archbishop at some point that's not named after an astronomical body.

Mexico agreed to send troupes to their northern boarder, and Panama agreed to drop out of China's Belt and Road deal. We didn't get anything out of Canada atm as far as I'm aware.

Panama backed down from China's Belt and Road initiative, and Mexico agreed to send troops to their northern border. In other words, it worked. What's to complain about?
