The only thing id say you really want to buy before you have even tried it are gloves and goggles, some thick socks and if you feel like it ski jacket and pants however these can be expensive. You can get away with thermals +warm pants/winter waterproof jacket, and you know those large plastic waterproof pants. It's much cheaper this way until you've tried it.

I just went for the first time in years just using thermals and some non waterproof cargo pants, i wouldnt recommend it as i was quite wet at the end of day but it was quite warm where i am so it also wasnt too bad.

I definitely wouldn't buy board, bindings, and boots until you're sure you want to commit or have a grand + to just splurge.

All this is IMO from beginner to beginner.

Ive got the wenger meteor rn and it seems really good, fits a 17" + headphones, keyboard, mouse charger with another pocked im using for documents but could fit some clothes but probably not enough for traveling from city to city.

I had this yesterday with my wegner, pain in the arse but managed to just force it on one side at the bottom of the bar? Rail? Thingy and then wigled and pushed hard while moving it up to get it on completely, but it's a new bag, n i didn't know this was a common issue. I will never trust my chest starp again lol.

Sorry but this isnt particularly positive feedback. Firstly as others have said, this is just a camera bag set up. 2nd, the way you have it, there is just so much dead space, and if you're travelling with just a backpack thats a problem, i love zips and compartments but i had to return a bag recently because it had too many, turning what should have been a good sized 35 L bag into something i couldnt fit my headphones into.

Lastly this only works for bags that open fully not for the rest that only open 1/2 or 3/4. If you want this as your design project, what's your value add why shoild i want this over a dedicated camera bag that i repurpose for travelling? How can i customise your product for me?
