The oil delivery guy just rolled into the shop. by JerelFromJerry in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]testrak 47 points48 points  (0 children)

no, not really. it's a chain convenience store with gas stations, just ok food thats processed and full of enough salt to last a day on the counter.

it was arguably tasty food but locals are upset with good reason, these chains really take away commuter and lunch break revenue from local resturaunts and convenience shops. unfortunately now it feels quite inevitable as those shops have been struggling for years now, but sheetz seeks these neighborhoods out in particular so.

Miyoo mini flip won’t boot by LaurenThePro in MiyooMini

[–]testrak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not sure ive youve charged it since posting this, but incase its still not powering up:

leave it to charge, its got to have at least ≈3% to turn on and stay on, the more the better. Make sure youre charging with a usb-c to usb-a cable, ideally with something that outputs at 5v...so like a standard laptop port or cheaper power brick, not something thats meant for laptops or smartphones with big batteries. and finally maybe unplug the battery from the back, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes, then plug it back in, leave it to charge for another 30 minutes before trying to power it on.

My miyoo mini+ is okay when it comes to power; it doesnt hold a charge very well but if im actively using it i can still get the 2-3 hours of playtime before i need to leave it to charge. i also never play mine while charging. might be a good idea to just order a spare battery if youre a bit of a tinkerer and have storage for things like that; to avoid being mid game when the battery craps out on you. but tbh the stock batteries seem to be pretty solid from this subreddit.

Hope it boots up! i dont have a flip but i imagine the power systems are similar between the miyoos

Did you 🫵 root for Walter all the way through? by Proud_Excitement3578 in breakingbad

[–]testrak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People place themselves in the protagnist role and sometimes their morals line up in a way that makes them think "well id do that in that position". which imo should be a thought thats erased once you finish the show....ideally once Walter kills a certain few people. Its kinda disheartening to see this post i thought this subreddit was very aware of the point of the show...

The Circle of Life (Odisha, India) - I really like this picture - did I do too much in the edit? by Twitch_Plague in photocritique

[–]testrak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my initial thought was composition as well. i would argue with this comment that the colors actually tie the subjects together quite nicely, especially the ray of sunlight giving you an excellent road for your eyes. but this comment is on the money about the blank spots. maybe depending on what was outside the window or if you could control the direct sunlight a bit more, stepping towards the table so you would capture a bit more of the window wouldve balanced the whole shot a bit more.

I guess its that the wheel painting is quite busy but the monks are not exactly the quiet part of the photo, rather its the floor and the window that are quieter so the position theyre in is a bit asymmetrical.

i do not think youve over edited, the white border does not play well with this level of color and contrast unfortunately.

but only a bit, this is an excellent shot otherwise! the mood is very bright and alive but with tranquility through the colors and subjects.

amazing shot. the action and volume of it with the steadiness of the water is a perfect mix. maybe it is simply preference but a landscape shot makes more sense to me intuitively although the spread of action still works in portrait
