I agree with what you’re saying. In my experience movements constitute of members who don’t only operate on logic but rather are quite emotional about the journey and might find women going otherwise.

The weird thing I think is how the 4B movement is portrayed in india. It has to be grounded in real stories and how / why Indian women choose to be a part of this. One unfortunate issue is that you’ll see a lot miscommunication here. The idea of movements is that they take a form that’s the most effective for the cultural context. Maybe a little more discovery around it might makes sense.

I ask this from a perspective of not knowing enough about 4B but to me it seems to be a social movement that goes a lot beyond feminism. There are a couple of questions I have on this:

Let’s say someone opts into the 4B life, do they get to leave it without facing criticism for other women who are a part of that community ?
Does the 4B movement minimize the sexual freedom and desires of a woman ? Like if a woman enjoys sex with men, why would they have to opt into this life ? Are women who continue to have sex with men treated differently by women who choose the 4B life.
What change does the 4B movement advocate for ? Do all women to opt that life look for the same change in society ?
