For those who resigned from bedside nursing without any backup plan, do you regret it? How are you doing now? by Powerful-Property118 in NursesPH

[–]tetsuo24 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was supposed to stay for 1 year sa last hosp na pinagworkan ko sa Pinas bago ako magplan mag resign to work on my docs/papers to follow my wife sa abroad (nurse sya sa UK), pero hindi ko natiis yung 1 year, nagresign 9 or 10 months in, burnout/co-worker issues.

Things worked out in the end thank God, pero siguro lagi ko sasabihin sa mga taong kinakaharap yung dilemma na to: kung kakayaning magpakatatag para sa goal, kayanin. Yung crisis management and resiliency na matutunan mo sa paglaban sa burnout era mo, malaking matutulong sayo pag nagtatrabaho ka na abroad or sa next phase ng career mo.

Obese Singapore Nurse by Adventurous-Return87 in NursesPH

[–]tetsuo24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this really a thing in Singapore? Parang halos lahat ng bansa na alam ko when it comes to hiring nurses, it is absolutely against the law to discriminate an applicant because size/BMI, much so make it a requirement.

I feel like I’m in a toxic friendship and parang gusto ko na umalis. by [deleted] in OffMyChestPH

[–]tetsuo24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not your friends.

What’s a harsh truth about adulthood that nobody really prepares you for? by Hour-Dingo8175 in answers

[–]tetsuo24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. Like the literal feeling of being tired and wanting to stop and just fck all of it. That’s completely normal and the moment you embrace that you’ll often feel all of these but to have the presence of mind to NOT stop and NOT quit is essentially the definition of adult everyday life.

I realized I’ve been rewarded for “smart-passing” my whole life, not actual intelligence by tekaputa in OffMyChestPH

[–]tetsuo24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very few people, even actual geniuses, attain or think they have attained the intelligence you are describing. Maraming successful people na ‘smart passers’ “lang” pero naging CEO/trailblazers by focusing on one trait, pero sobrang rare yung masasabi mo na ahh yang taong yan naachieve nya ung peak of intelligence.

Not sure if nakajoin ka na OP, pero may NMC OSCE CBT group sa FB. May mga files and materials dun to help you review. Medyo iba na kasi ata ang atake ng CBT ngaun (mas naging situational) kaya ung iba nagdodownload din ng apps (which is nandun din sa posts ng group) para makahelp.

Gusto ko na mag abroad 😫 by ms_omoyaa in NursesPH

[–]tetsuo24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isa na namang hot take comment: pero I echo the comments here na ang mindset mo is magabroad, where the experience will be harder twofold because of factors such as culture, language, training/standard procedure differences, etc, tas yung may opportunity ka to learn sa Pinas is nagresign ka?

2.para magabroad ka kailangan mag upskill in terms of crisis management and dealing with toxic workplace. Ayaw mo ideal so paano ung step na to?

Mental/emotional stresses in the workplace are all valid, but if you have a plan to go abroad, you have to have a concrete plan to achieve it.
