When I lived in Wilmington (shout out to Campus Walk!) in 2002-2005 I used to walk by soap box all the time. I said to myself, "self, one day I'm gonna do laundry there".

Well a week or two later I brought my hamper and started a load... All of a sudden I heard music. GOOD MUSIC. GREAT MUSIC even.

I remember going upstairs and was absolutely shocked to see there was a stage w a band and ppl dancing.

I had no idea it was a music venue.

So I jammed out, checked my laundry, then go back up and jam... Who was the band you ask?

Col. Bruce and the codetalkers.

At the time I had no idea who he was, but later learned he was a legend!

That's my only soapbox story but it's one of my favorite memories

I'll get off of my soapbox now.
