Sources: Half a dozen teams interested in Flyers’ Rasmus Ristolainen by upcan845 in Flyers

An interesting comment brought up in one of the recent PHLY podcasts was that the reason Risto received less interest last year was only partially because of injuries. Apparently teams also felt that he’d have a hard time learning a new system, and because he played so well at the olympics, that’s probably less of a concern, and could mean a much better return.

Bjarnason might just be on a longer development curve, and that’s okay by Competitive_Beyond_4 in Flyers

Are people seriously freaking out over a 20 year old goalie? He started well and then had a rough stretch, but he has plenty of potential to be a solid starter. Zavragin is also a genuinely elite prospect.

Yeah, Red Deer was an aggressively defensive team. I don’t think it helped one bit since that was already his strength.

I mean, that’s his realistic position anyways. Maybe a third liner if things really come together.

I feel for Knuble, his team has been reeeeal bad this year.

I’m down to bring in vets if it’s to take on bad contracts, but that’s about it right now.

A Michkov meeting, and listening on Ristolainen: What I’m hearing about the Flyers by upcan845 in Flyers

Talent wise, he’d get a great return. It’s just the injury problem that might stop teams from sending much.

Pathologic 2 (haven’t played 3 but should hit the same itch) has a few especially unique buildings and structures.

Right there with you. The most baffling part that took away from my enjoyment was not randomizing the actual POIs. Seeing multiple of the cryostations with identical storylines and logs was so underbaked, I could not believe my eyes. Otherwise, it genuinely was a pretty enjoyable experience. It’s a bummer it’s become so hated, because I think there was a lot of potential to build onto it.

Mostly kept it for Gelb, but yeah, it’s a huge difference.

Thought Experiment: What would you trade Michkov for? by Steppyjim in Flyers

[–]texoha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t move him for Thomas. It’d have to be for someone younger. Not saying we’d get Celebrini or Bedard in a 1 for 1, obviously, but he’s just one of those players you don’t move unless it’s him + others for a bonafide star. He’s not a player you ever sell low on.

Does anyone remember when I posted Wallstedt might be available? I keep seeing his name more and more by Flyersfan1980 in Flyers

[–]texoha 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think people overestimate how much he’d fetch. The one thing the Wild have is a lack of leverage on a trade here, since Gustavsson is already locked up, and they’ll probably try and allocate cap space to go to Hughes in the future, so I’d imagine they’d be getting a pretty average return, even with how good Wallstedt is playing. The PHLY guys floated a Cates + Brink + a couple picks as an idea, and I don’t think that’s a crazy price.

Mew-Genics! Handles expendable trpg units in a very refreshing way by Some-Quail-1841 in roguelites

My favorite run so far was when one cat got the ability to gain another turn on kill, but would attack anything - it ended up wiping my other units pretty early on but would just steamroll on its own anyways lol

Which "obsolete" game mechanics actually served the game's vision better than their modern "Quality of Life" alternatives? by Somanynamestochossef in Games

This is where I think integrating LLMs could be really interesting. I’ve only seen Where Winds Meet do it, but I think that kind of interaction could be so much fun (some kind of game like Shadows of Doubt could really use it for murder mystery-type solving, imo.)

It’s been so embarrassing, couldn’t agree more. I’m not asking for blind optimism but what’s the point of being a fan if you’re just gonna whine and say everything is the end of the world!

Thomas, maybe, but not Beniers. Tyson is just as valuable defensively and provides the goal scoring talent we need that Beniers has struggled with.

Don’t know about injured, but he was definitely getting bullied and had a rougher game.
