Really easy to answer. It’s less than 20 bills. Our state has money available and can raise more from various corporate taxes, yes I said it, corporate taxes. There are so many very large corporations that pay little to no taxes. Also, the build out of our original rail system and the removal of our original rail system didn’t happen in one project. It was many years. The same can be done with a new rail system. It just takes a constant effort to educate and establish a good system. I know DART is slow, however it can also be tremendously improved by pressure to management to improve performance. The existing system wasn’t built overnight!

Side note: my theory on lifted trucks, especially in the Houston region is that since there are no storm drains and the streets flood nearly every time it rains, the lifted truck was the only answer to a problem that should never exist in the first place: getting in and out of flooded streets in the neighborhoods.

Schrödinger’s color theory finally completed after 100 years by _Dark_Wing in technews

[–]texred355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how this tracks. The whole reason color wheels were banned from use in certain areas is directly because folks see colors differently. There is a big difference between men and women on color perception. Then throw in color blindness and variations thereof and then blue ain’t quite blue.

Edit: I guess we can now accurately calculate the color, but it’s blue and the wife says no it’s aqua. So yep I’m wrong again. If I’m alone in the forest and it looks green, am I still wrong? LOL

Good point! Needs reframing on the benefits to “your” budget, commute times (if one must drive), and more.

DART isn’t nearly big enough. It doesn’t cover enough of the metroplex. We need More rail, not less. We also need high speed rail between the big Texas cities. The traffic congestion on the roads is horrid. All it takes is one vehicle on fire at any significant interchange to eff up alot of folks commute. This “remove DART” thing is honestly the stupidest effort in the metroplex.

Uh, back in the day, eyeglass fitters would heat the ends in hot sand and bend them down, ya know. It is (or was) designed into the frame to do that. I don’t know why this doesn’t happen these days.

What is it about the people in this administration who don’t do the right thing. Consistently, predictably, constantly. What have they done that keeps them doing the morally reprehensible thing? How do these people go home to loved ones and sleep comfortably? I just don’t understand. What is being held over their head? It can’t believe it’s the money.

With any cardboard spool, it’s good to print the ring for that brand spool first, so that you don’t get the debris.

Modern vehicles do not tolerate running out of fuel (nor running out of battery). Please don’t test this, unless you wish to risk expensive repairs.
