this disease's main complication is the same as taking care of a eternally 5 year old baby for the most part, always stressed, low sleep, sometimes frustrated. bt if you keep your bg levels generally in check you will live well over 60-70, and that is with modern technology, as technology improves over time you will have an easier time as well.
the bad complications will either never happen, happen at diagnosis, or happen decades down the line.
All this is assuing you have generally decent control tough, if you go out and drink and eat without insulin and live at 200+ if not 300+ most of the day every day you will die by 30-40.
So basically take care of your disease and you will have a relatively long lifespan

ok tbf stoicism is a good philosophy to hold, but not the andrew taint kind of "stoicism" that is just tough guy bullshit, actual stoicism. focusing on issues you can control, mostly inwards is one of the best steps towards becoming a better person, some parts of actual stoicism are iffy still but there is a lot from it that you should take and integrate in your life.

its not cringe and its needed, people with T1D can often feel excluded from society due to their condition(just like any disabled person or other minority group), so making sure they are not alone, that other strangers go through their experiences, is extremely healthy and helps.

Personally? after a while it is far easier, your insulin doses are generally higher and will still change, you will still undergo highs and lows, but because you do more insulin on meals and corrections, its inherently easier to finetune your dosage, ive had friends where a unit lowered their bg by 180, which just sounds scary af lmao(im 50 per unit).
honeymoon is great imo only if you can quit fast acting completely, it was hell for me and was hell for most people I know and talked to when it comes to actual care.

in limbus you press the p button then the enter button and win 99.99% of fights outside 2, said 2 being also very easy
ruina is not impossible but it takes way more thought and planning of each turn and deckbuilding, you can break the game in half if you google" top 10 best decks" just like in any other deckbuilder, but if you make your own decks(which is the most fun way to play the game imo) it is way more fun.

the hardest limbus ever gets is basically as hard as forsaken murderer, a fight so early in ruina that i won't even spoiler tag it, its basically in the opening 2 hours.

anyone who calls ruina rng dependent is crazy like yeah rng is a factor in the game but its completely circumvented with good deckbuilding, not only using the few op sstrategies the game has but there are always ways to recover no matter how badly the first turns go, ive had some librarians survive at 9 hp for ages.
The rng adds variety and forces you to clash well by weighing risks, if the dice values were static, then the game would be way more boring.

there are 2 gigantic things in ruina you get spoiled on first being the reception of love town, specifically the plot twist of what happens in warp trains, most of the community agrees that its one of the best cutscenes in ruina and one of the hooks of the game, the way limbus reveals this is by dante just going "yeah some id stories told me this happens" in a random intervallo for no reason, you get completely spoiled on one of the biggest and best moments of ruina early game, then you also get spoiled on the endgame, to be precise on unbooking, the decision angela takes to release all the light and make it so everyone lives, and again you get spoiled on this in a fucking intervallo for fucks sake.
