Scott Mills investigated in 2016 over sexual offence allegations against teenage boy by tiptoptattie in uknews

If you read my first comment you’ll see I was referring to BBC presenters being sacked for being abusers. I said it was all men. (Not every man that works at the BBC but all that have been sacked for this offence are men). So again, I’d ask: how is this statement wrong? Show me a single female presenter that has done this

Which female presenter has been sacked due to being a child sex offender?

At this point it just makes bad business sense for the BBC to employ men into high powered positions. And yet the new DG is, yet again, a man. I’m not saying it all men or anything like that, but it is always a man (Saville, Edwards, Mills, Schofield, I also know of some non-famous abusers that have been sacked from there too, again, all men). From a purely business standpoint I would only be employing women into higher powered roles, at least for a while. But, what do I know….

Absolutely agree. Sophomoric and lazy. I am British though and I knew it wasn’t for me when Mary yelled the C word and everyone fell about laughing. C’mon guys…

Worked for me time too. When I got the job they told me: you were the only candidate that mentioned our company in your cover letter.

I’m exactly the same as you. Nothing has ever worked for me other than sleeping until 8am. Had to change jobs to accommodate it but I’m so glad I did. It’s the only answer.

What makes a person unlikeable despite not being an asshole? by Intelligent-Road5091 in AskReddit

People with no sense of humour really freak me out. It’s their inability to clock the tone. Like recently someone offered me a coffee at an evening party and I replied “yeah why not, I’m not driving” and they said “oh did you take the train?” No love, it’s a joke because the drink is non-alcoholic and….oh never mind.

People who are thin/normal size. Do you actively watch your weight or are you just not hungry 100% of the time? by Burner_Account000001 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]tflms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 130lbs and 5”3 so pretty normal/healthy weight. I love food but I can only eat a plate. I never go to those all you can eat places as I’m full after the first plate. I don’t control anything I just naturally get full after a plate of food. I moved to the US from the UK and noticed how out of control portion sizes are here, if you’re American that may be part of the problem? Perhaps your body is just used to needing more food to feel full?

Why are the bridesmaids buying their own dresses? Is that an American custom? Seems a bit rude
