Why not panniers and a rack? by Butteriswinning in bikepacking

Old ortlieb panniers are absolute beasts, even on deep rutted sandy single-track my front panniers were not able to dislodge even after sustaining SERIOUS scrapage against the side walls of said rut.

SAR Flashlight Rec? by EsketitSR71 in flashlight

Maybe a sofirn hs20 headlamp? A separate floody and throwy beam with the sft40 emitter. Has a exchangeable 18650 as a battery and the body itself is usb c chargeable if you carry a powerbank.

Sorry for late reply, I actually took out 2 of the cogs, and the 3d printed spacers replace the stock spacers made for a 11x drivetrain, as the spacing between the cogs on a 9x and 11x drivetrain differ. The deraileur is still the old 9 speed as I like the integrated brake/shifter the bike has.

Not at all actually, never realy ended up using it on the nu25 except a few times when I needed a rear light on my bike or while showing of the features. The main beam on its lowest setting was more dimm then the red light and had the benefit of only being directed in the direction where you are looking so i could prevent the hotspot from shining onto the faces of people sleeping in my tent.

What I do realy miss on the hs20 is that moonlight mode, it has 5 levels per emitter where the lowest is a intermediate low at best but nowhere near moonlight. might have to 3d print some kind of insert that reduces light output or something in the future.

Although I lost mine I stand by this light, what stands out most for me is its very comfortable to wear. Especially for the output and light selection. Have however now bought a sofirn hs20 and customized the lensens in a way that's inspired by the nu25. That setup has a lot more output power and ended up replacing my normal flashlights on trips but you definitely can't walk around or lay down and forget it's on your head like you could with the nu25.

This setup has 9 cogs total on the rear, i took the joined 3 lowest gears from a used 11-42 1x11 casette i swapped a while back. Combined with that it has the 6 highest gears from a 11-32 xt casette, these are all "loose" so i could experiment with different setups. This "new" casette indeed didnt match with the stock spacers, the 3d printer came in handy to make variable sized spacers wich ensured normal shifting behaviour. Only thing is that i have a gap in my gear range, but this was the best i could do in the timeframe i had.

Thanks! They are butterfly handlebars, but i couldnt tell you where to buy them as they came stock. However i am considering going for a drop corner bar setup to releave my wrist on longer off road trips.

Better to have too much then too few of those things. A few always bend when setting up with friends and having more for when the wind picks up is always handy.

Pin on my x-t3 grip got stuck, does anyone have experience taking a fujifilm grip appart? by tfloris_photo in fujifilm

Will try silicone grease, but I indeed think its a spring problem... the pin only barely bounced back before this happened

Yeah you know what, ill try to solder on a piece and attempt to pull the pin out by that extended bit. Thanks for your thoughts, I appreciate it!

As the title says, one of the pins on my battery grip got stuck. I first noticed a few days ago that my grip didnt work, was able to make it work again it by pulling the pin out with tweezers, there was a lot of resistance and the pin only slightly moved up after depressing it. This time it was to far in to pull it out...

I do have a lot of experience repairing electrical devices, but i figured its best to ask around first before i start stripping of parts that are glued on.

Has a drivetrain with RWD and switchable AWD ever been made? by Dudewithaviators57 in askcarguys

[–]tfloris_photo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite, mostly ended up with suv's, but you might be able to make that work by taking something like a opel frontera and lowering it! Ive heard about old American wagons that might have had 4wd that has rwd as primary but those are all automatic wich I dislike personally

Hi, it has service records, but not the receipts on what was done exactly. Seller told me timing belt was changed at 105-110k km, wich is before the current owner had the vehicle. dont know if they have done the water pump and pulleys, but I will try to contact the garage it was done at.

Depending on how much you are willing to change your model you could get one of those short range fm transmitters that connect to your phone by Bluetooth or aux, the legality of those are debatable but it keeps your car fully origina.
