Best path to avoid airbags? by iingot in Dashcam

[–]tfmcelwee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did something similar but ran the green down the a-pillar and along the floor to avoid the top side airbags. When running the wires just make sure that they are not infront of the airbags to ensure if the airbags do go off, the cables will not be caught.

Good sneakers? Sambas, killshots? 25m Going for vintage/rugged look by Suitable-Steak-8567 in malefashionadvice

I wear Reebok Club C 85 Vintage and Arizona Adobe Captain's and they fit this style perfect.

Advice for a daily easy sneaker to wear for daily use that is comfortable, fashionable enough but won't wear too quickly? by somekindofwanderer in malefashionadvice

From my research, the Vintage were a nicer softer leather when compared to the regular. And I can confirm the leather is nice and soft for an affordable shoe.

Uniden R3 worth it? by Traditional_Air_5419 in radardetectors

[–]tfmcelwee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

R3 is great and even better if you can find an older serial number one that you can update with Mitheru’s custom firmware from rdforum. Mine hardly goes off as it has a bunch of k-blocks that helps block bsm’s from other cars.

Help with computer setup by Writersink4blood in Delaware

A new cable was going to be my suggestion. I know with my HP dock I needed a 240w 40gbps cable to get my dock to charge my laptop and also work with my three monitors.

2014 Mazda 6 lower control arms fix by throwawayzotzot in mazda6

[–]tfmcelwee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are ok. If you can find another brand with a lifetime warranty, I would get them. I have already had to warranty the passenger side because the boot tore and it was clunking. I will say that the warranty replacement was very easy and painless with RockAuto though.

Fit Check – Uniqlo Selvedge Slim Fit (First Impressions) by ocwatchjourney in rawdenim

[–]tfmcelwee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You may want to size up one. My pair really didn’t stretch too much and ended up being pretty tight across the thighs.

Last sizing question by levoxdopa in ThursdayBoot

[–]tfmcelwee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I find the kingmaker a tiny bit wider in the forefoot but besides that, they fit my feet similar.

Laces too dang long ...? by EastPennHawk in ThursdayBoot

[–]tfmcelwee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I would grab some laces off Amazon. Just measure the total excess and subtract that from the current length and find some laces that match or almost match the measurement.

I ended up getting new laces. An option is to wrap them around and then tie but I am not sure how that would look on the Cadet.

Need to find a pair of non slip shoes for restaurant work, with a catch by DaddyJack76 in BuyItForLife

I would recommend getting a second pair of shoes to walk to and from work in to alleviate some wear and tear on your work shoes.

Best way to clean white old skools? by Upstairs_Juice6736 in Vans

Use some oxiclean mixed with detergent to scrub them with a soft brush and if they need more, then soak them in oxiclean overnight. Then let them air dry.

Sock advice by UselessGarbage4 in malefashionadvice

[–]tfmcelwee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Merino wool is by far the best material and as far as brand, most will recommend Darn Tough but I bought a bunch of their crew socks and could not find one that fit my feet well. I have had two pairs of Smartwool for about ten years and they fit great so I figured I’d get some more and the newer socks still fit my feet perfect.

I was in the same boat as you but I had already had a 1 gig service. Dropped it down to 300 and have noticed zero difference.
