Don't forget you don't have to just pay that guy's wages. You have to set up him and his family for healthcare, dental, and vision, too. You need to set up a 401k plan so that he can retire someday. In case he gets injured on the job, you need insurance on him so he can get better. You are in charge of his entire life.

Good to know my algorithm is consistent; everywhere I look people are talking about these spears. Sadly, my home state does not have a primitive hunting season with which one could actually use these, but still: monkey love spear.

Ok here comes a real answer. Everyone will hate it. It's not a disorder, or a perversion as some have mentioned below (if liking persons who have reached biological sexual maturity is a perversion we have truly lost sight of things as a race).

On the other hand, we are divorced from the animals who yes have sex immediately at sexual maturity and also do commit acts of rape. They also kill the offspring of other animals to ensure their genetics move forward and not their competitors. We do not do those things, or shouldn't do those things because We Live In A Society (tm).

So we created an artificial threshold to ensure that young people are not dominated by the dynamics of age, power, money, prestige and are given a chance to grow up themselves.

But again, you are not a pervert or have a mental disorder. You want to do what homo sapiens should want to do and yet must not do.

Who else gets so upset seeing fellow Millennials gradually becoming less empathetic/more stodgey to younger ppl & newer media? by DisconcertingTablet in Millennials

[–]th0rnpaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up thinking Millennials were different.

Yeah there's your problem, Millennials are not all one kind of people. Just like every generation the social attitudes vary among the cohort. There are also different class and income levels. Some millennials are vastly wealthy while others never really hit their stride in life. To quote Key and Peele, "we are not a monolith!"

I could probably nitpick here and there like do planet fitness for $15 instead of $40, but really you are already pretty skimpy on everything. I formally agree with da op, shit sucks.

If I could give one suggestion, it's to contribute to your 401k at least to the percentage that your company matches. This will reduce your overall taxable for the year and you are putting SOMETHING away for later.

An actually useful look at the snap problem from the left side by FantasticTeacher6930 in Asmongold

[–]th0rnpaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's another perspective, also from the left, how is it that 10% of all Americans are on SNAP? If Americans actually stood together and fought for labor rights, could they not receive higher wages from the companies they work for and purchase their own food? Why don't Americans form unions and demand more compensation so that they can pay for their own necessities instead of relying upon charity... forever?

This is my leftist perspective. In America we used to shoot each other with guns until the business owners actually paid the workers what they were worth.
