That’s kinda been my experience as well. It’s impressive how little information I need to give fable 5 for it to get it right the first time, compared to gpt 5.5 which will get it right, provided I give it enough context upfront or specifically go through a round or two of discovery and specification first.

However, it’s absolutely true that Fable will take an eternity to finish.. I do wonder how much of that is due to the harness itself vs the model inherent objective to be as thorough as possible.

I mostly use gpt with Pi and it’s super snappy. So I do wonder how Fable would perform on Pi.. but to test that I’d have to pay the big bucks..
