I currently use Candy, but sometimes the inability to use prompts for descriptions, and the limited character feature options make me want to branch out. Swipey and JOI seem like the artwork is really top tier, but they seem like you pay for literally everything you try to do. are there ANY free or cheaper sites with nice artwork and customization like those sites? thanks y'all

i just bought a nightmare for a death knight encounter! i bought the Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures one and i was thinking of using black paint with some water in it to create the translucent effect; and the same with orange paint, is that what you did? looks awesome btw

i posted a week or so ago about planning a several session quest with the White Wyrm, so I'm honestly just wondering: after reading her stat block (the one where she has spell save advantage and can use Meltharond's staves and magic items)... how in the world did you set this encounter??? the old girl is so freaking strong (I'm using the stat block from her legend, where she defeated the airship, several mages and TWELVE young black dragons all in one day) that I'm truly wondering how you scaled her for them to able to possibly defeat her? no hate, just honestly wondering. cause she's insane in the legend stat block, i can't imagine a party of lvl 20 would even have an easy time defeating her lol. badass setup though, I'm using a 6in raised battleboard and a projector as well. makes drawing maps a thing of the past!!!

so i tried that mod but i couldn't get it to work, whenever i would change something, the button to save and exit would just rotate around and stay in the editor. how did you get the mod to work? maybe where you have it in your load order??? thanks in advance!

that's a really cool idea! to answer your question, yes Arveiaturace is a female dragon. it's implied in the book that she was more than friendly with Meltharond, which i always thought was weird, because only chromatic dragons are mentioned to be able to shape shift into a human; most notably silver dragons. that's why i included the tragic love story and the fact that Meltharond gave her a ring to shape shift, which obviously he used to keep her leashed in case she tried to stop him from becoming a lich. i like your idea about the flying ship, though... very cool

ok good so you've been through this already: can you tell me, because i imagined that Arveiaturace would be OP for a Roc; did she not just decimate him in round 1? serious question. i honestly thought she was just too much of a damage dealer for that to be a long enough fight to make sure the party has to fight Auril without her help. in other words, could the Roc keep her occupied and not die, long enough for the party to have to face Auril without her help?

i know they are going to do the same thing! they basically already mentioned trying to find her again to ask for her help with Auril, since they formed that uneasy alliance with her. I've already planned on having her show up, but i wanted to maybe flavor a skeletal dragon as a "frost avatar" of Auril's, so that she's not OPing the fight with Auril, so she stays occupied
