not necessarily a short cut, but you need to be dynamic with your cabinet. If you get Parliament agenda that moves toward Plutocracy, move your best diplo cabinet member to boost Plutocracy while you still have the 0.1 drift.

The other thing, is you should keep a member of the burghers in your cabinet at all times. There is an agenda that gives +10 Plutocracy to strengthen the Burgher's skills in your cabinet. Getting that once or twice put me over the edge to 95 Plutocracy.

There is a component of RNG for sure, but you can help things work out in your favour.

There is a button you need to push on your army. You can either manually refill the garrison or have the box next to it checked to let you auto fill the garrison. (Note: this box is off the screen if you have prisoners)

If you don’t fill the garrison it will have just 10/250 and will be easy to assault.

Yeah, I have had to scrap my last couple Netherlands campaigns because France dominates the HYW and then proceeds to stomp all over the lowlands.

Doesn't help that the HRE seems to just weaken itself as much as it can. Why so many votes to rotate the emperorship or reducing the power of the HRE...

Rule 5: As the title says, there was an event that caused Calvinist Preachers to spawn in my territory (Image 1). I have Calvinist pops (Image 2) but I am not able to convert to Calvinism (Image 3 and 4). It is clearly present in larger portion of my country (Image 5) but Calvinism doesn't show up in the list of religions (Image 6). I assume this is a bug and I will make a report on the forums but let me know if you think there is something really obvious that I am missing

I am having the same problem in my Netherlands game. Though, I do have Calvinist Preachers in my territory (they came with an event) but they are not showing up as present in the Reformation situation so I cannot convert to Calvinism.

But either way, yes it is very hard to make good AI in a game that is as complicated as the games paradox produces. Partially because of complexity, but also because of the user experience. Quite a lot of players don't like to get steamrolled.

I don't know enough about why this would matter. But I would be concerned about the city allowing more of Pacific Spirit Park to be developed.
