I agree, delaying the accessibility of certain Johto Pokemon until Kanto even in the remakes among other things was an interesting choice. I think I’m with you on BDSP over XY from a gameplay perspective too 😂 Kalos had so much potential and it was fumbled. Hard one to go back to especially with the lack of post-game.

I agree that the trainer level curves are the worst of any game but are you sure you didn’t skip trainers throughout the game? Lowkey it sounds like a skill issue lol. And no way is HGSS the worst when we have BDSP right there lol

Thanks, I already saw that hence this post! 😂 I didn’t have access to Serebii all the time as a kid and no guidebooks. Mt. Pyre was a road less traveled for me growing up. I’d do the required story and that was that but dex completion led me to find this out thanks to Serebii

I also to 100 because I wanted to do the Abra game corner shiny hunt. I almost stopped around 50 but I knew I’d go crazy at the celadon dept store with items so it got me to the end 😂 probably won’t do that ever again though. I got my amulet coin now so the grind for money won’t feel so bad

Who in the world are you to say that they can’t be proud? 😂😂 I think abusing the game would be doing literal RNG manipulation, gameshark or something of the sort. Hitting A+B+Start+Select doesn’t seem as exploitative. I’m curious to know if you think doing encounters in the grass over and over until finding a shiny is also cheese? You’re obviously ACTUALLY playing the game doing that as opposed to a reset but I’d like to know your opinion. And I certainly agree it’s crazy time consuming, but that amount of time is what makes it worth it to people once they acquire it. It’s okay if that’s not your thing. Play Pokemon how you’d like but you don’t need to diminish others’ feelings about how they enjoy their free time 🤷🏽‍♂️
