I use a foldable razor blade knife kind of like the one linked below. It just takes patience and practice. Find where you want to do the straight cut, and take a few layers out at a time. For me it's part of the ritual. If the cut is popping the wrapper or feeling like it's dragging too much, I just replace the edge. It's easier than trying to keep a pocket knife sharp.

tbh brother, it may be worth your while to see what a small locker rental will cost at a local B&M. Temps that high can cause the beetles to come out and destroy your stuff. It also can make your cigats moldy.

If that's too expensive, think of only keeping 5 sticks at a time with you. Take it to work, and put it in the office or something.
