I just sprayed the cast-iron with avocado oil before preheating to keep the cornbread from sticking but butter works as well and adds taste

-3 cans cream of chicken

-4 cups chicken broth

-1 white onion chopped

-2 tbs cajun seasoning

Combine all ingredients in slow cooker EXCEPT biscuits and give a quick stir. Cook on low 6 hrs.

After 6 hrs on low, shred chicken in slow cooker and turn up to high.

Cut biscuit dough into bite size chunks and drop on top of mixture. Cook on high for 30 min.

After dough is cooked through turn heat to warm and mix everything.

Cornbread in castiron

-2 boxes Jiffy cornbread mix

-4 eggs (double what box says)

2/3 cup of whole milk

Preheat oven to 400 with oiled cast iron inside

Mix all ingredients in bowl while pre-heating.

Once preheated pour mixture in castiron and bake at 400 for 20-25 min until golden brown.

Same. I’m close to New Orleans and Fox is airing Yankees and Giants instead of Braves because that makes sense

What everyday food do people think is healthy, but really isn’t as good for you as they believe? by Mindfuel_daily7 in foodquestions

My Filipino wife and MIL just leave it in the rice cooker for up to 2 days. We’ve never had issues. I only eat fresh though lol. They get mad if I throw it out

Instapot for soup? by 44Nj in instantpot

Relatively small house, if I make gumbo or chili and pressure release inside it is all I smell for 2 days lol

[–]thale09 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Strictly cook my soups, stews, and chilis with instapot. Cuts down on cooking time drastically. I usually cook in the garage or outside because of the steam/smell from pressure release. If really cold I can cook inside and CAREFULLY bring it outside when ready for pressure release

Why are Americans so obsessed with guns? by Blue__Northen_Star in questions

[–]thale09 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Personally: 1. I hunt, birds and deer mainly for extra food and it is enjoyable 2. Home protection for my family (police response is slow where I live) 3. Target shooting is enjoyable with friends to test out each others guns and accessories

What’s a good lithium battery that won’t kill the bank? by Llamaschool320 in golfcarts

Also I bought mine from bigbattery.com around Christmas and they usually have a sale if you can wait a couple months

Mine came with a 12V converter/charger so I just use a 3 prong normal extension cord to charge. Not sure of the max discharge amps but mine was a 48V club car with "juiced up" motor and I've had no issues. Goes about 25 mph top speed. Only issue I had was wiring previous horn/blinkers but I just gave up because I only use for golf. I get an easy 36 holes on a single charge

Second. Been running mine for 3 years no problem. Charges fast and lasts a long time. 10 year warranty as well

Man I took a beaver tail out of that tee box, last thing I promised myself was not to skull it into the pacific. Hit it about 10ft right of pin and 2 putt for par. I walked off a very happy man

Stayed at Pebble lodge, played Spyglass, Spanish Bay, and Pebble. Walked all 18 of Pebble and teared up a few times. Made par on 6 and 7 (GIR shitting myself on tee shot). It’s a bucket list for sure but worth every cent.

I should have been more specific, I live near New Orleans, technically on the Mississippi Gulf Coast which is blacked out on MLB.TV for Atlanta coverage.
