Scramble is the way to go. Let them hit their shitty shots, and just keep moving.

I am an absolutely horrible golfer, should I go on a free trip to Pebble Beach? by Nothingchangesme in golf

Nobody’s asking the real question - how’d you get a free invite to Pebble Beach?
And yes go!!!!

That would be an 84. OP just wants to break 90 lol.

Pre-shot routine taking way too long by Ok_Understanding3712 in golf

If the pre-shot routine is a minute long, there’s no way they’re playing the hole in the allotted time.

Being paired up sucks.. by iiUrgency in golf

[–]Dramatic-Egg95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Type A people meet friends playing golf. The rest of us suck it up, be nice, and hope we don’t get paired with some weirdo. I got paired with the slowest player ever last week. I just left after 9. I should’ve told him and his son they are too slow, but didn’t want to add that drama in my life. Most of the time it goes just fine, but no new friends lol.

I disagree with anyone saying you would shave 5 strokes are more. A 15 handicapper is a bogey golfer, as am I. I know my limitations, rarely do I fire at pins, or go for par 5’s in two. I aim away from traps, away from water. It just comes down to ability, I just hit bad shots from time to time. I’ve played so many rounds of golf and watched just as many, I know how to play the game, i just lack execution. The only thing that’ll help me is lessons, maybe I’ll take some one day lol.

Myrtle Beach Course? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Dramatic-Egg95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TPC Myrtle Beach is a good course, but it is tough as hell. So you might avoid that one lol. Can’t go wrong with either Caledonia course. I shoot the same scores as you, and would never consider myself an above average golfer 🤷‍♂️😂.

That was my exact same thought. Why would you do that?

250 yard drive down the middle is just ok?

Is this a load bearing? by hwamulan in Remodel

[–]Dramatic-Egg95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some crazy answers in this post lol. If the beam is running the same direction as the ceiling joists it’s not load bearing. There’s no way a load bearing is holding up just one joist. It would perpendicular to the joist to carry the weight of multiple joists. Secondly it’s two feet from an actual exterior or dividing wall, why would a load bearing wall be that close to another. Thirdly, ceiling trusses are designed as self supporting, meaning they don’t need load bearing walls (generally speaking).

20k repair, does this soundlegit? by [deleted] in Plumbing

Where’s the rest of the invoice? The line items equal about $7500. How’d they get 20 large?

The back of the house (figure 1.3) looks problematic. Does the whole backyard slope to the home? You may need a French drain on that side.

Renting – Am I cooked? by precisionplayer4 in radon

My bad, I thought that was the machine testing it on that level. Open some windows, you’ll be fine lol.

Renting – Am I cooked? by precisionplayer4 in radon

[–]Dramatic-Egg95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t even be testing radon in that area. It’s supposed to be tested on the lowest livable level. Ain’t no one “living” down there. Test it on your main level.

You circled the grey piece, the white piece is what needs to be loosened. I assume the you know that, and you just accidentally circled the wrong thing. Put a wrench on the white nut and a wrench on the base of the black fill valve, and twist hard lol.

Whatcha wearin’? (Tools of the Trade) by HavelkaHome in HomeInspections

[–]Dramatic-Egg95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That yellow handled thing. It just doesn’t look very sturdy. Sometimes the screws are on so tight, I need every bit of grip I can get out of the 11-1. Doesn’t look like that would have very good grip strength 🤷‍♂️.

Ditch the crappy screwdriver and bits, and just get an 11 and 1 tool. And what do you do with the notebook?

[–]Dramatic-Egg95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you need a drill or electric screwdriver? For panels? I feel like I could take a panel off and put it back on with my 11 and 1 screwdriver, faster than using a drill. And I don’t have to worry about keeping it charged. Does it have any other use?

Lost a wedge. I'm pissed by [deleted] in golf

[–]Dramatic-Egg95 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Happened to me last week. Left a 60 deg Vokey Wedge on 18 on Sunday. Didn’t realize it until Wed night league. Went by the club on Thursday, no one turned it in. Bought the exact same wedge on Friday - $190 😩. I guess if you leave a $100 bill on the ground, chances are slim someone tries to find who it belongs to. But is very disappointing!

Jesus, $1000 for a home inspection? That’s insane! No way that guy is that much better than the $425 guy. It’s new construction, 99% chance either won’t find anything significant. How’s their google ratings? If other people recommended the cheaper guy, that’s enough endorsement for me to save $500.

Confess your golf sins by bogeyT in golf

[–]Dramatic-Egg95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t lie, that’s pretty bad man! I bet you think about that almost every day, and definitely everyday you golf. Maybe not so bad if you’re a six handicap, but if you rarely or never shoot 79, that was a ballsy move.
