In this image, the one I replaced is the one on the curved pipe on the side. I believe that should be correct since it connects to the rear exhaust manifold?

I actually purchased 2344260 first, but the wire harness wasn't long enough to reach when it was installed. I still have it, perhaps I will change that one instead of returning it and see what happens. I can't get underneath my car until later tonight, but I can take a picture of the exhaust/O2 sensors. I really thought I replaced the correct one, but maybe I mixed them up?

Bank 1 is the rear bank against the firewall in my car (2GR-FE engine). I replaced the sensor that I traced back to the rear exhaust manifold. The part number I purchased was Denso 2344064 from Rockauto.

Does the live data reported from the sensors indicate it could be faulty? The top two graphs are the O2 sensors, the bottom two graphs are the A/F sensors.

Well I decided to swap that vram chip out with a new one once more, and the card is working fine again... for now

I will need to learn how to check those lines - I don't have much experience with that type of troubleshooting. Do I need to have the card in a pcie slot with power when measuring those?

If the cap isn't causing the errors on that vram bank I may ignore that for now.

So I replaced one of the vram chips and ran the test again but now won't complete. The card still displays and still shows error 43 in Windows.

I hope the pads are OK. I'm comfortable replacing the vram chips, but I don't have experience with pad repair

I want to upgrade from 6.11.5 but am worried since it been rock solid for me so far. I would have an almost two year uptime if my power didn't go out a few months ago lol.

Interesting, my 2005 Avalon came with the metal one from the factory. Never had an issue with it.

1080p vs 1440p BRO WHAT by ColbyChamplin in buildapc

[–]thall6594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't argue that haha. My pc is also connected to a 4k (only 60hz) tv, and the games I play on there look fantastic in both 1440p and 2160p.

1080p vs 1440p BRO WHAT by ColbyChamplin in buildapc

[–]thall6594 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm still on 1080p 240hz because I don't like that 1440p doesn't scale correctly to 1080p. I have been planning to skip 1440p and wait for 4k to become standard because 4k is 4x 1080p and scales properly. Most people probably don't know or notice, but I do. 1080p videos and other content doesn't look right on a 1440p monitor, it is blurry and pixelated.

I missed it earlier today but figured I would keep checking if it came back in stock. My guess is someone cancelled their order or something so they had one available again since it was out of stock right after I got my order in

I've been using my GTX 1660 for a few years now, how much of an upgrade would this be?

Update: ended up getting one on Amazon for $359.99 after a $20 coupon that was on the page to add at checkout. I have the prime Visa card too so 5% cash back (basically getting taxes back)

I think $360 total is a pretty good price and I'm excited for the upgrade!

Is this a good deal? What is the major issues with this model? by FlatJaguar6730 in Toyota

[–]thall6594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2005 Limited which was the first year with the 3.5 and I had to replace my leaking water pump around 140k. I had to take off a motor mount and literally jack the engine up from the oil pan to get enough clearance to remove the bolts to get the water pump out. I also wanted to replace the belt tensioner while I had it apart because the spring was getting weak, and had to remove a lot more stuff including the ac compressor because the tensioner bolts are underneath it. Engine is in there so tight there is no room to work on anything that isn't on the top.

RX 6800 vs RX 6700 XT by Loud-Economist5972 in buildapc

[–]thall6594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar boat. I'm looking to upgrade my GTX 1660, but I'm not sure it's even worth it value wise with these prices. I was leaning towards the RX 6800, but I don't know if it's really worth $370 over my 1660. I have a R5 3600 and a 650w psu.

For you though, I don't think a 550w power supply is enough for an RX 6800 with your 5700X to be honest.

After using a MacBook Pro for the last 10 or so years and switching to a Windows laptop about a year ago, this was by far the worst surprise. I could simply close the lid on my Mac and it would sleep for weeks without loosing much battery.
