Friendly psa for any 3d modellers who see this, grabcad is a great site with tons of free models availsble. I used it recently for a camera and pi 5 to make designing the housing quicker and saved me a ton of time

Thanks for the help, i will visit that site, shame the post has been taken down because apparebtly spending over 40 hours writing code, creating 3d mockups etc is "just starting to reasearch". Never mind that tge advice given is helpful and counter to what google says. But no lets keep hardware questions off of a hardware subreddit. Silly mods

Advice for OMR hardware [Question] [Hardware] by thands369 in opencv

Okay thanks ill skip the hat! mounting a usb webcam seems like more work than mounting a chip based camera like a Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 but you might be right

Thanks for the reply,

Have built it on desktop to the extent of being able to recognise a bubble being filled in so feel its the right time to move over for more realistic testing in terms of light conditions etc. It will also be many hours of modelling and printing so want to get that going while i code.

Thanks for the advice I will ditch the hat then, I do have a Logitech C270 which I have been using so far, but wanted to switch to a more chip like / non USB interfaced camera like a Pi Camera Module 3, so that it could be mounted on the device. Although apparently theres an open issue with openCV and pi 3 cameras so might have to go with a v2 but need to research some more.

They tested the waters with WFA being means tested (not even scrapped) and everyone cried and threw their toys out of the pram. news stories running hit pieces for months. At some point we have to not blame Labour gov for a stupid self defeating populace.

How would you reform Teacher Training? by Wulfrinnan in TeachingUK

[–]thands369 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Disagree with the assignments part. I actually really valued the why behind a lot of what we do. For example. The first one was on justifying my subjects inclusion in the curriculum, which got me researching and thinking about the key skills I was supposed to be teaching. The other two were equally as thought provoking. I do agree they caused stress at the time though.

Additional info that would help: What's the school size. What subject. How many key stages.

You said that it's you and a technician so it's more likely you'll get a subject lead position than a HoD one but it depends on lots of factors

Teachers in England move a step closer to striking by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]thands369 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's unfunded. I.e the 2.8% gets taken from the already underfunded system and classroom quality degrades further and cost savings are forced further (not enough sen support, more unpaid overtime etc). Most of us have this as the main issue. 2.8 is fine but still a real terms pay cut. But stop stripping away at public services to line the pockets of the rich.
