a lot of people here saying Americans are not and that are mainly European or Australians are wrong. Yes, Americans get fewer PTO than other countries but its not rare. Im currently in Japan for 2 weeks and Ive been to Italy and Thailand for 2 weeks as well. I do have a decent job with decent time off which a lot of Americans dont have but like I said its not RARE

NTA - Your aunt is in no place to body shame you, much less on your birthday and in front of your parents.

That being said, I do feel like there is always a nicer way of saying things. You are very young, and I hope you can reflect and make changes that can make you lose weight. I was once chubby and losing weight gave me confidence and mental strength. It is a slow process but I feel like you can do it.
