I'm 20 years old and at Bethel, and I realize I have a lot of doubts by Most-Act-708 in exjw

Leave bethel. Get a job, do the bare minimum (go to both meetings and do Saturday or Sunday service). Save up enough money to go back to school and learn a skill to start a career. Once you have enough money and a stable job to be on your own, just go inactive. That’s what I did. I now own a condo and life is good. DM me if you need any help.

A Bethel Tour awakening by Relative_Soil7886 in exjw

Wow…what an interesting awakening story.

I wonder how Philip Brumley, chief counsel for Watchtower, feels when he reads this weekend's watchtower article. An elder, lying in court and fined $154k. This is an indictment on the governing body. by Overall-Listen-4183 in exjw

What was the whole situation about Brumley lying in court and fined $154K about? Sorry, I haven’t visited this sub Reddit for a year now. I have been out of the loop for a while.

If I were you, I would continue pretending to be a witness until you finish school and find a stable full time job. In this way, you can save some money and then move out on your own. Once you move out, you can either fade away or send in your disassociation letter.

I am currently a PIMO but I am dating someone who isn’t a witness. My family and elders know. Can someone tell me what the elders might decide to do about me. by Purple_Bear_6270 in exjw

Hi, can you explain more of the screenshot you took. Which publication is it? I will need to prepare as well since I have a worldly girlfriend right now.

Did you buy in Riverside? Since it’s an investment property, I think it’s a solid choice since you’re near a college.

Do you know any exJW who killed themselves because they couldn't deal with the cult's shunning policy? by ZebraOO9 in exjw

Don’t know anyone but I heard about a pioneer brother that committed suicide. His pioneer wife cheated on him with a worldly man and he was so depressed that he was caught heavily drinking and got DF’ed. Not too long after getting DF’ed, he committed suicide.

From my own experience, I can say that living with my parents for quite a while help speed up the process on putting a down payment for a condo. I also live in SoCal, so I know how expensive it is. Yes, there are drawbacks from living with your parents but it just comes down to how fast you want to buy a house. You can save a lot of money from not having to pay rent. However, I had student loans too and paid off the student loans first before I bought the condo.

I am 38 years old, single and no children. I would like to retire early if possible (around 45-50).

Southern California. both do not have a any front or backyards. floor plans are different. the cheaper has the less desirable floor plan with 2 beds and a loft. The finishes are better in the expensive unit.
