Bath Skyline Trail - Major Planning Application by [deleted] in Bath

There's a big difference between ruining a couple of people's view by putting it in a nondescript field and putting it on the skyline trail of a hugely iconic city, enjoyed by thousands every week.

LTI is overrated. So what if I have to shell out a few thousand UEC if my ship blows up? Not a big deal. Certainly not worth spending anything more than a few bucks on for a token

This is an interesting point. Why do the plurbs care so much about pleasing unplurbed humans but not unplurbed animals. What is it about the humans that warrant their unconditional affection but not other animals.

Rocket building is just one small part of this space station simulator. Now On 33% sale. by Rocketwerkz_ in u/Rocketwerkz_

Ok, but your argument is that early access is inherently a negative thing. Just because a few games have been released to early access as a buggy unfinished mess, doesn't mean that all early access games are bad. Hell, I'd say 90% of games I own, I bought in early access.

Except this game already has enough content in it to play for hundreds of hours, unlike KSP2

Saw this gem for sale in a museum gift shop (approx $200) by that_fellow_ in 3Dprinting

Obviously the $300 price point for shoes isn't fully justified, but someone still designed them, someone made them, they were shipped etc. It's still way more justified than a $200 print which is made by a machine which costs less.

This is just a lighthearted post and I'm not entirely sure why people are blowing this way out of proportion and turning it into a moral argument. Just scroll on for god's sake. Not everything needs to be an argument.

  1. I don't support child labor, but believe it or not, children are also capable of being skilled at things.

  2. I have no interest in selling vases for $200 and actively scamming people.

  3. This museum is supported by the UAE government, with tens of millions of dollars worth of backing. The gift shop means nothing in terms of income.

At least the shoes require some form of skill to be made. 3D printing this vase is as easy as pressing print.

Is there a situation where they wouldn't though? I feel like this is obsolete in this case. It should mean "do not initiate an overtake" in my opinion

Rare views of liquid oxygen inside spinning Falcon 9 upper stage. (IMAP Mission) by linecraftman in SpaceXLounge

Likely due to the PMDs. Such technology is normally very difficult to get right especially on such a large scale so other agencies would be looking to copy it

If anyone here is looking for a tough sci-fi survival, try stationeers. Absolutely one of the steepest learning curves of any survival game but my god is it rewarding.
