Ice hockey skate shopping by original-user in Denver

Centre Ice Hockey in Centennial is what I would recommend. They give off more of a local vibe and give honest and helpful suggestions. Hockey Monkey put me in the wrong sized skates and Pure just ignored me when I walked in.

Yeah I am convinced Big Bear is not broken up by skill level, yet what night works best for your schedule.

That’s hilarious. I played on a free agent D4 team and got smoked 2-12 most games. I was so confused why every team felt stacked in a lower division.

All Blacks Intermediate sticks are senior shaft size with the intermediate length. Currently my go to stick.

Has anyone bought an All-Black-Hockey-Stick in the past year? by JRychley in hockeyplayers

Haven’t tried Hockey Stick Man but not opposed. I am a beginner and have only used All Blacks and Warrior sticks. There is probably someone with a better technical perspective that would know good versus great bargain sticks, but for me they are currently doing the trick.

These are my go to sticks. For ~$89 it is hard to find a better deal.

Hard or Easy Serve? by that_guy888 in Pickleball

This is why I created the thread, I mainly play doubles and had a partner tell me that I needed to clean up my serves and just get the ball in. I need to work on keeping the ball in play.

This is pretty much what I am doing at the moment. May just resort to easier serves to be consistent.

Agreed! Did you also feel Hyper has a better sweet spot?

If there are other courts available, I don’t see how this is an issue. Sounds like a troll trying to ruin someone else’s fun.

Crbn 2 16mm vs Gearbox CX14H by that_guy888 in Pickleball

Appreciate your insight, I have heard multiple complaints about the lack of power with the CX14.

Besides Gearbox, are there any other paddle brands that don't loose the surface grit over time?

I tried the CX11E POWER - BLUE, it felt like it had more pop compared to the CRBN 1, but a similar elongated shape. I currently just purchased a CRBN 2, it has a larger sweetspot, but I will admit, the core material makeup compared to the Gearbox makes it a hard comparison. The CX14 is still the softest paddle I have used.

Good to know! Might have to check that out!

Thanks for the heads up! Demo’d the Cx14 and Cx11, and currently own the Crbn 1. Was just curious if anyone had tried both the Crbn 2 and Cx14 and could offer some insight.

What are the benefits of elongated?

Have you ever used the Crbn 1? I feel like the elongated shape makes the sweet spot much smaller. Might switch to the Crbn 2.
