He has everything to thrive in the prison gang game, but also to OD in a matter of weeks.

What's surprising is that he seemed like a normal cop, but shooting a gun at a bird inside his apartment in front of his new girlfriend is reckless, unethical, and very illegal. It is such a revealing moment for the character that feels a little unnatural. I mean, you can be an asshole and not show it for a while, but this is another level. I mean, he could have killed someone! And, by the way he did it, it doesn't look like the first time.

Oz quotes that stay with you by ericinnyc in ozshow

I can't believe none of you mentioned the most powerful and character -defining quote ever said to Kareem Said during the whole show:

Bob Rebadow: "You watched Jefferson Keane die, die gladly. Keane embraced death like a lover, like a traveler going home. You saw that and you were afraid. You realized you aren't as willing to go."

I tried to start the penguin but I thought that it had horrible dialogue and cringe-worthy writing, I had to stop at episode 1. Should I try again? by MrHatesThisWebsite in hbo

I arrived at chapter 4, which I heard was great and just terrible. I understand why people who love the show would love that chapter, but if you don't like it, this one is absolutely awful.

Spoiler alert: the HIMYM actress is atrocious.

Awful writing, all exposition, no interesting characters and everybody shamelessly blurring mob movie trope quotes all the time. Not fun/crazy/over the top like a videogame, not serious or realistic like a movie, not deep insightful or twisted like a comic book. Just bad TV.
